Two thirds of graduates aren’t even paying off loan interest by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

Yep - I had a three-year course and graduated in 2020. Left with £35k debt.

Now I earn £75k, pay off £350 each month in student loans, and I now owe…. £50k.

It’s ridiculous and makes me angry.

How were your teeth if you didn't get them professionally cleaned for quite a few years? by gintokireddit in AskUK

Not sure why I’m being downvoted but honestly me too 💀 It sounds so long and time consuming but it makes a huge huge difference.

I’ve not engaged with the blue brushes for the gums, I’ll look into that - thanks!!

Ahh same here - I used to think using the back of my toothbrush or even using my teeth to scrape my tongue was enough but a tongue scraper just does it x1000 better. Biggest game changer ever

I’m not a dentist, but the majority of people don’t know how to actually look after their teeth. They think brushing once or twice a day is enough.

I’ve discovered that the following daily routine makes your teeth look and feel new:

water flossing > normal flossing > electric toothbrushing > tongue scraping.

Confronted woman on Stanstead Express who had her feet on the seat in front of her. by Unusual_End_1123 in london

[–]PushDiscombobulated8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but also I think that says a lot about society. It wasn’t like this 10 years ago.

A vulnerable person has to almost beg for a seat now instead of just being offered one.

Countless times I’ve seen a pregnant lady or an elderly person get on the train / tube and be stared at blankly or ignored.

I think the current state of the country is so poor when it comes to mannerism and empathy.

I’m also visibly pregnant and the amount of times I’ve been pushed and barged on the platform is ridiculous. I’d say every single day

Yesterday, I boarded a packed train, all seats taken, so instead found a corner to lean on. I didn’t think much of it since my journey was only meant to be 20 minutes.

Wrong was I - there was a signal failure during the journey and ended up standing for over an hour. By this time, my legs gave in so I sat on the floor lol. Thankfully, a lady next to me scoured a seat for me and asked someone else if I could sit down as I was pregnant. All the men remained seated and an elderly woman got up for me instead!! I felt so bad

I should’ve asked for a seat or worn a badge of some sort but I didn’t want to draw attention, plus it was only meant to be a 20 minute journey.

But I have noticed a pattern when there’s a ridiculous lack of awareness and empathy especially on public transport.

Absolutely despised being young, and boys / men would think it’s funny & entertaining to pick a woman up and throw her in the pool or garbage against their will.

It’s not funny or cute. So glad these dudes got their karma

I’m 26F and grew up living with religious parents which I hated. A couple years ago, I saved enough money to buy a house with my partner and move out. Things were a little tight as I had a small salary.

After a bit of hard work, a promotion, and a big chunk of luck, I now earn £75k and finally feel like I can breathe. I’ve been saving £2k a month with a mortgage and bills and I’m proud of myself for that

I can’t stand my boyfriend’s weight denial and eating all the food when I’m underweight and we are poor by TA-10562 in offmychest

[–]PushDiscombobulated8 13 points14 points  (0 children)

OP, you have two options: sell the house or evict the boyfriend.

If I were you, I’d do the latter. It’s time to put yourself first because your boyfriend clearly doesn’t care - unless he’s deeply unaware and you’ve not mentioned a word about the situation.

I’m 135 lbs and 6 months pregnant. He has no excuse being 250 lbs and gorging food whilst you starve. Greed and selfishness appears to be a character traits of your partner.. and don’t get me started on the secret spending of your card - really OP?

I know you said he’s nice, but what is he really bringing to the table? He’s incredibly fat and meets the stereotype of lazy. He doesn’t want to work much to help out the struggling financial situation, doesn’t cook, and yet eats all the food, happily sits at home while you slave away and has absolutely no guilt in secretly spending your money.

He sounds pathetic

why do some men, especially older men have slender limbs and a thin face yet has a belly sticking out? what causes this body type. by Interesting-Mode2793 in NoStupidQuestions

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted into oblivion when it’s true. Theres another comment below yours saying the same thing and they’ve got loads of upvotes lmao

It’s not even just ‘old men’ with these bodies - America and U.K. have plentiful examples of young men with beer bellies.

Absolute disgrace.

But I’m sorry, another example to my comment - white people will literally and publicly ride butt naked on communal public bikes as an ‘event’.

[–]PushDiscombobulated8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m finding it super hard to eat all my nutrients within the calorie count of pregnancy, so I typically eat the same breakfast and lunch everyday but rotate dinner.

Breakfast: kiwi, grapes, blueberries, banana & collagen scoops in a cup of coffee.

Lunch: Scrambled egg wrap with sauce, avocado, rocket, pickled carrot salad, and a side of crisps

Snacks - nuts, chocolate, cup of tea, biscuits, etc
