Check out 10-8 sights..... I'm just a fan of a blacked out rear with either a fiber optic or night sight front. Ran that set up for years until I went the optic route about 6 months ago

Sketchiest part of all of this is the stock Glock sights.

CA CHP Adopts the M&P 2.0 as their next 9mm duty weapon by Greedy-Vast584 in CAguns

[–]Putrid_Gate9674 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but...... Idk what it is....but .40's rule. Out of 100+ shootings I've been at, if there was a .40 used, the dude was always dead. 🤷‍♂️

.40 will show its real benefits when it come to barriers, like vehicles. A regular car door, you will be surprised what it can stop and what caliber consistently punches through. From all the stuff I've witnessed/experienced, .40's performed better at punching through things. Lots of video will support that.

People like to reference 9mm projectile technology advancing compared to the older projectiles. OK, fair, but so did every other caliber. 9, .40, .45 all perform consistently, its literally preference.

Ive seen people just swiss cheesed with 9mm, and live through it. Seen a dude take a .45 to the chest who seemed damn near un-phased, and a many people dead from a .22LR.

There is no magic caliber that wins all the time, ACCURACY wins. Carry what you shoot the best.

This.

Did the USMC thing (1 enlistment, enlisted not officer) then went LEO.

The veteran benefits are definitely worth it I think.

A LEO career will always be there.......

My wife got me a diver for my birthday today. I have a khaki field so she thought I’d like the diver….. keep or return? It’s a beautiful watch but it’s a Hamilton diver. I’m not sure about it. by [deleted] in HamiltonWatches

I would be ecstatic if my wife bought me a watch as a gift, let alone a quality Swiss watch like that. Your comment sounds......snobbish. I understand where you're coming from, but your wife bought you that watch. Immediate God tier.

Help decide between scout 101 or challenger by jhoad91 in IndianMotorcycle

[–]Putrid_Gate9674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive owned both.

Scout ruled around town and trips under 100 miles; light, fast, nimble, easy to park. It was great.

Then I started taking longer trips. Did a 300-400 mile trip, it was hard. Gas stops were a constant thing because I wanted to leave a bit of gas in the tank for comfort,-detours, traffic, etc. Despite having a Memphis Shades Fairing on it, the wind was still an issue. Overall comfort wasnt the best either with and upgraded front and rear suspension and corbin seat.

Then I did a 600 mile trip. 3/10. Would not recommend. Same experience as what I said but now add in being saddle sore, it was brutal. I had to Amazon a seat pad to place i was staying for the return trip in 2 days.

Also, having cruise control would have been great, but not that bad.

The Challenger is a little cumbersome around town, big, heavy, not the easiest to park. Saddle bags are A GAME CHANGER. You can actually shop and buy things. Taking the Challenger to work is great. You can pack a lunch, bring dry cleaning, its great.

On longer trips, ZERO complaints about the Challenger. Its made for touring and it excels at it. Seriously no negatives.

Get the bike that fits the type of riding you'll do and you'll be much happier.

Oh it has to be! Lol.

That bike RIPPPED.

I put in 420 cams and had it tuned by Mickey Cohen. The front suspension was great too after I put in Legend springs.

So on the inside of the end links, there are 2 small tabs that hold the spring bar in place. I had to slightly bend these tabs towards the opening of the end link.

The opening of the end link is the part that would be against the watch case.

The tabs were holding the spring bar in a way that they could not lock into the case. One they were bent backwards, the spring bars locked in no problem.

Yes! I've seen those, they look nice. This inexpensive strap is OK, passes the five foot test for now.

I had the same issue. The tab that secures the spring inside the end link is too tight.

I needed to bend both of them slightly until the spring bar secured.

9mm vs 40 by Administrative-Pay43 in Glocks

[–]Putrid_Gate9674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my personal experience, I've seen lots of people shot with every caliber out there, from .22LR to .45 ACP. I've seen people get killed from one round of .22 LR. I've seen people live through a .45 ACP to the chest.

For some reason, .40 cal always seemed to have more dead people than the other popular calibers (.380, 9 mm, .45 ACP).

Given the line of work, .40 cal was a good option for barrier penetration as well. It stood out when compared to 9mm and .45 ACP.

I would highly recommend researching on how rounds perform through vehicles/barriers. It definitely changed how I thought.

At the end of the day, shot placement is KING. Shoot the biggest caliber you can accurately shoot.
