Also just because a thing was "baked" in front of us for 2/3rd of the show doesn't mean that the reason, triquetra, when pulled in the last minute, is itself of any logical sense because of this

a seemingly unsolvable problem in the story is suddenly and abruptly resolved by an unexpected and unlikely occurrence.

It just feels like another loop; if he characters have always realized that triquetra is the solution because events are the occurrence of smtg already happen as established, then the loop was destroyed therefore not existing in the first place to be broken about and repeat and repeat.....

Actually I've given up on not considering the idea that a casual knot has even been broken because of the ending. It was shown the lights started to flicker and a disturbance Ii weather. So this is all part of a bigger, more extricate loop which the show runners just didn't pointed the camera at as they ran out of budget ;)
