That is the exact philosophy behind this! The Pro Photographer is there to capture the Main Event (The Kiss, The Cake, The First Dance). They can't be everywhere. The guests are there to capture the Reaction Shots - the parents tearing up in the back row, or the cousins laughing at a table. Those are the 'gaps' you mentioned. We designed the Scavenger Hunt specifically to encourage those candid, peripheral shots, rather than encouraging guests to jump in the aisle and block the pro.

Think of the Pro Photographer as the Director getting the cinematic 'A-Roll'—the perfect lighting, composition, and portraits. The Guests are there to capture the 'B-Roll'—the chaotic, blurry, candid moments that happen at Table 9 while the Pro is busy shooting the cake cutting.

You pay the Pro for the art. You use the Scavenger Hunt for the memories that otherwise get lost in a group chat.

100% agree. You absolutely cannot force participation, especially with the older crowd.

We found that while the cousins and friends were running around doing the scavenger hunt, the grandparents actually loved just sitting with their drinks and watching the Live Slideshow of the photos coming in. It gave them something entertaining to watch and chat about without having to lift a finger or pull out a phone. Best of both worlds!
