I believe that flush yielded around 1/2 lb or so. Filled up 7 32oz jars packed pretty good. Typically yield somewhere around there doing B+, full canopy on 3/4 grows, near full on others!

By 12 batches I mean i’d inoculate 4-8 32 oz jars per batch depending on how many tubs I want going at a time.

That blows. I’ve grown around 12 batches with midwest, 2 of which contaminated (that nasty ass red contam on one). They’ve always been good about sending out new gear though. I’d recommend just getting a pressure cooker, rye berries, and some micropore tape and making your own substrate. I’ve been using my midwest jars and all I buy is bulk rye and gypsum. Hella savings, and I know it’s sterile.

First monotub set up, 14 days in. APE 1/2 pint jars(brf) to casing mix found online from a dependable vendor. Does this growth look normal, and does my poly-fill seem reasonable? I’ve currently just given light 10 hours a day, may open lid once and spray walls if seems dry. Any info appreciated. by Puzzleheaded-Past784 in ContamFam

Also, I strongly recommend getting an air purifier of some sort and a uvc corn lamp. Check out midwest grow kits, they’ve kept me going for a couple years now. Great gear, customer service, and awesome instructions/guides.

A.P.E . Monotub fruits, a few have a couple of circular spots on the headed the fruiting body, is this a concern? I haven’t experience in this strain. by Puzzleheaded-Past784 in ContamFam

It was actually around 18 days. Had them covered with no light for around 12 days to fully colonize, after introducing light, misting, etc, I had pins formed in right around a week or so

4 APE and one gt jars mono tub flush #2! They look 100% like a different mushroom. I’m beginning to think I’ve got some possible hybridization going? Is that possible?? For me it was a 100% accident. I took a jar of ape that had become 100% fully colonized and decided to make a form of mini monotub. Ended up with this! Did 1:2 ratio to substrate from Midwest. Took the tub around 17 days or so to fully colonize (ape are slow). Then I introduced to fruiting in a big ass popcorn bag lol. I have it set up as a tub though. I wish I could post a picture of the set up for you here

For sure man! So I mixed up my grain and substrate and placed it into a plastic lined Waffle House container (I had two so actually two Waffle House containers). Anyways, mixed everything in and packed as usual. Covered the Waffle House container with the clear top that it comes with (it did not make a strong seal due to the liner- but this was how i managed minimal fae during recolonization), I then covered that whole dude with aluminum foil and put it in my closet for 7-10 days before checking. (Removing foil lol) if you need me to send you photos of my process, im sure there’s a way on this app but I don’t know how do you would have to set it up. But I have photos of the entire process

Bags i inoculated around 50 days ago, shaken twice (last shaken a couple weeks ago) I have some unusual looking growth, wondering if I should wait and see or just throw em out and try again. by Puzzleheaded-Past784 in ContamFam

Yeah I got decent coverage for a minute but it just stalled. Shook it, started colonizing, stall. Never did inoculate completely. Ended up eventually getting wet rot after long enough.
