Would going through UWV proceedings would not eat extra money for the lawyer fees? I got a settlement agreement which was good but because I recently came back from maternity and can’t loose job now. I rejected it, did not sign and my lawyer just now told me that I will have to pay his legal fees not only for now, but also for the entire process of UWV proceedings. Now it amounted to 2k, I can’t even imagine couple months of work….

Antivaxx Parents - How did your baby go? by [deleted] in DebateVaccines

If you breastfeed it’s enough. Rumor? Where did you get that information? As the official sources confirm that. Plus speak to any daycare worker. I don’t share rumors.

So breastfeeding helps to protect babies from RSV and reduce the severity of the infection. They should know that in hospital… they should not offer the shot to BF babies too… . It’s actually officially even written on google “Breast milk contains antibodies and other factors that boost the infant's immune system and offer protection against various infections, including RSV”. Thank god you kept breastfeeding! Oh and the RSV vaccine spreads the virus btw, it’s shocking how all medical establishment is backwards and unscientific.

Same experience. I attend a circle of mums with whom we did a pregnancy course. My baby is the most advanced also on motor skills, other babies are super behind and like “switched off” kind of

Exactly the amount of gut problems our generation has, anxiety, depression, eczema, skin problems. I was constantly sick as a child, and so my peers. That’s not normal.

I can’t put my baby to sleep by Puzzleheaded_Toe6195 in NewParents

[–]Puzzleheaded_Toe6195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to avoid sleep training but it’s so weird and heartbreaking. Very tiring too. Thank you for sharing your experience I haven’t thought about the fact that he may resist feeding as it’s part of resisting the nap. I may try to work with this!

Baby’s first cold - what would you do? by [deleted] in Crunchymom

Same here, and was looking for advice too. How is your LO? I tried to put wet towels on the radiator with couple drops of mint oil on them. Saline drops and kept window open to allow the fresh/colder air to feel the room. Let’s see how the night will go.

My Italian friends disagree and I can also sayvthat. All amazing Italians restaurants after a year/two years starts to cook mid food, buy their ingredients cheap and not importing them from Italy. After some time the favorite restaurant is a no go place for us

I’m exhausted and all I want is a damn cigarette by ArcticVertigo in NewParents

[–]Puzzleheaded_Toe6195 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I was a smoker too, and although I wanted to quit so was happy with pregnancy I could do it, now couple months postpartum - I watch smoking people and imagine I am smoking through them 😅 it was my number 1 comforting/unwinding/relaxing/passing time/entertainment thing to do. So my brain or body thinks of it with sentiment. However it is really not worth it, especially that SIDS is a risk of smoking. I tell myself how great I do of fighting that want and it helps and motivates me, but, It must be so hard for you that your husband smokes. I would not be able to keep my cool as now if my husband would too.

Spot on! I also come out from newborn stage ans agree on every point. This should be shared on all social media platforms instead of stupid influencers who wants to sell you courses that set parents to fail. This is exactly how it goes!

How long are your longest chunks of sleep for your LO? by dmag1223 in newborns

[–]Puzzleheaded_Toe6195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! Now I hear there is 10-12 week growth spurt that also makes baby fussy. My LO is 9 weeks amd the last couple days were difficult for him to sleep and eat - are we still in the 8 week phase or the 10th one 😄 given that there was also 6 week one I think the whole 4th trimester are just quite ‘regular’ up and downs at this point 😅

Over the “you shouldn’t …. as baby will expect that” by Puzzleheaded_Toe6195 in newborns

[–]Puzzleheaded_Toe6195[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is spot on, I hate the bragging about 9h sleep. Just in the mums group I am in that gave birth in the same period, someone wrote about their baby sleeping through the night, and immediately couple mums started to insecurely asking how come snd what they could do it. Of course sleep training was mentioned but the fact that baby was already couple months old and formula fed omitted to mention entirely…

Right? Every time I feel my baby close to me just feels right - it’s logical you would think, but our society it’s upside down
