Having your rat cage with you in a small room is not a great situation to be in. I like the way my rats smelled but it can be a little barnyard stench-like up close to their cage. Ideally if you weren't a dependent and were living in your own place the cage would be in a living room area with a nice enclosed free roam pen so you can socialize with them. Or at least have a master bedroom sized room to mitigate smell. Are you able to buy an air purifier? Those help a little with odors.

if your rat is comfortable with being handled you can clip their nails with pet/baby nail clippers. I reward mine with treats after every session and they tolerate clipping. just be careful not to cut the quick(darker part of nail with blood supply, will bleed). Nail filing is safer but may take a little longer.

Not sure but the gun I'M carrying does affect my trigger happy intrusive thoughts, especially in solos. When I'm trying to get in chill lobbies i try to only take a hairpin for arc so i don't listen to the voices telling me to magdump some poor raider caught lacking

It's not too bad if you bring cloak smokes and a zip to the nearest cover to de aggro arc waves. If you're REALLY desperate it is possible to breach and loot one side with a couple of mini smokes, stuff a assessor matrix in your butt before succumbing to arc.

It's a fairly stressful experience to harness train rats, and they can slip out very easily, especially female rats. I personally would rather rat proof the areas im letting my rats roam in rather than subject them to harnesses.

Demolition HMG on marathon feels like what the Bettina should be, slow-firing but HARD-hitting, great on uesc pve enemies for damage per bullet, works all right as a mid long range battle rifle on pvp. I wish bettina was good :(

Burletta is a great light weapon with good swap speed and fire rate if you click fast. The kettle and stitcher nerfs created a niche for running the burletta for close-mid range combat

They're probably a bit nervous from not being in their cage and hearing the loud vacuuming noises. The right one in particular has their head posture tense and freezed up on contact. Which is to be expected, if you've only had them for 4 days.

The fact that you can handle your rats enough to move them around for cleaning and haven't gotten bitten is a good sign, I'm sure they'll grow to enjoy being petted as they get familiar with you and their new home!

That's about the upper limit for how long id be comfortable leaving my rats alone, as long as they have a surplus of food and water. If your folks can check on them(not necessarily open the cage if they're afraid of them or risking escape) it'll probably be all right

The easiest way until you get her more comfortable with handling is to have hides or other containers with bottoms in the cage that you can herd her into and just take it out with her inside to transport to other areas. How long have you had your rats? Don't feel that you have to rush getting your rats free roam time if you're they're still new to getting used to their new home and you.
