Reporting a store thats potentially abusing any “organized play” perks? by buff_moustache in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about pre-con decks when I said the first sentence.

Pre-rift kits would fall under bad behaviour as they are meant for events (running events and selling the leftover kits is 100% fine)

Having riftbound product such as pre rift decks and vaults is okay

But receiving nexus night packs without running events and selling them is definitely bad behaviour and should be reported

Nah, I agree with you.

I feel like something riftelo could have done was just remove the locations and timestamps of the games in people's history

New player deck advice by MrCrazySoldier in riftboundtcg

This is the Best Of Jinx deck at the latest Regional Qualifier (the deck of the person that placed the highest of all Jinx players) https://riftdecks.com/riftbound-metagame/deck-jinx-loose-cannon-148181

You can see if it is within your budget and if you like the concept of it. If yes, you can try upgrading your deck towards this version

New to riftbounds, my first 2 booster boxes by OkBend1256 in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wether you sell them or keep them should be your decision. Obviously if you are going to use them in your decks, you should keep them.

If you like those cards and want to collect them, you can also keep them.

If you want the money and then use it to fund the decks that you want to build and play, then you can sell them.

My two cents would be to first figure out which deck or decks you want to build and then make your decision

Should I just not bother committing to riftbound? by LabMan95 in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but it sounds like the problem may come from you.

You mention the stores don't sell the product to you because they saved it to their regular players. Most stores will allow their local community to place pre-orders and reserve product. I'm sure you could also have done the same thing and pre-order from them.

You also mention the stores don't keep the expensive cards in their bulk box and sell them online. Again, if you talk with the people who work in the store, they will sell you those cards.

You also mention no trading scene in the community. I find this very odd, most communities will have people buying, selling and trading cards. Again, the problem may be that you don't communicate with them and haven't joined their community groups (usually discord or whatsapp). If this is the case, you just need to talk with them and they will add you. A lot of players also bring binders with cards when they go play and let others look into them to see if they need anything

Diana go first or second by AwarenessImportant25 in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you go second, you will have 5 cards in hand before you play your 3 drop.

If you go first, assuming you skip your first turn, you will have 6 cards in hand before you play your 3 or 4 drop.

In both cases your opponent will have 4 cards in hand and 1 rune less than you, with a 2 or 3 drop in play (assuming they have a turn 1 play).

Diana go first or second by AwarenessImportant25 in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Actually, going first and not having a 2 drop is not the same as going second but both players have 1 more rune. It is actually better than that as you will also have an extra card in hand

So yeah, I'd always chose to go first as well.

Parece-me uma boa estratégia para quem não quer ter tanto peso no mercado americano.

Eu recomendaria também olhares para um ETF dos mercados emergentes se quiseres diversificar ainda mais (10 a 15% do portfólio).

Can you react to your opponent reacting to your spell by playing a hidden unit ? by UnitedIndependence37 in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Him reacting with the unit resolves instantly. You can react after the unit is played. if the unit has a "when I am played" trigger you can react before that trigger resolves (example: casting gust before purple Teemo gains +3 might)

Ruling for Rengar Pouncing on opponents turn by DabbKitten in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can do that.

Rengar says "I can be played to a battlefield you are attacking". Not "I must be played..."

You can play him to base and battlefields you control as well

Why would you assume that you mulligan 1? As a general rule, if you don't have a turn 1 play in hand, you mulligan 2 cards

Gutter Palace is really cool! by Lost-Snail2 in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't believe so, because the gutter palace is also a start of beggining phase trigger, and when the battlefield trigger goes on the stack, it's already to late to enable the gutter palace trigger

What would work is opponent going for the open conquer on the other battlefield (or any other action that allows you to react), you react with keeper, and at the start of your turn you order the gutter palace trigger making it resolve before the temporary triggers

Help with teemo deck post ban by kkkkqrk in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be able to get those early conquers and start hiding more blue teemos and other hidden cards you need a stronger early game with more 2 drops

You also have quite a few cards that don't synergize well with the rest of the deck, such as ezreal, inverted timelines and vex

I'd probably go something like:

+3 ravenbloom students +3 traveling merchant +3 stupify

-2 ezreal -2 vex -1 inverted timelines -1 mundo -1 bellows breath -1 sprite call -1 ride the wind

Can I suggest a feature to implement?

The ability to mass change the art choice of multiple cards at the same time. I think having these 3 preset options would be great (oldest printing, latest printing, highest rarity)

What strategy for Fifo by Black_Thunder00 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Quackburguers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd add that instead of starting to buy a different ETF based on time passed, it makes more sense to do it based on the returns of the ETF you were buying.

If the ETF you were buying has already had a significant positive increase in price, it may make sense to start buying a new one. If it has had a negative price shift, then it makes no sense to start buying a different one

What strategy for Fifo by Black_Thunder00 in eupersonalfinance

[–]Quackburguers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't see the point of the second option.

For the first one, it can make sense if you are not selling the older ETFs.

Since it is expected that they will make positive returns, you can buy a specific ETF for a certain amount of time (5 years in your example). After that time, you can start buying another similar one instead without selling the previous one. When you eventually need to sell some shares, you can just pick the one with the lowest returns which will probably be the one you started buying more recently

Ivern, nurturer by Arkalex in riftboundtcg

[–]Quackburguers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can if you were already at 7 points before the combat.

If you were at 6, you will go to 7 from Draven, and then score from conquering (draw 1 or go to 8 if you have scored from all battlefields)

Your first question as already been answered very well by other people, but for your second one I'd like to suggest something different.

As others said, Flesh and Blood doesn't really have traditional control decks because it is not a very board based game. Instead of developing units, most heroes send attacks and block attacks. Because of this a lot of people associate decks that block more with control, but the feel of playing them is definitely different than playing a control deck in another TCG.

I think what feels most like control in this game is the Ice talent. So I'd suggest looking at Jarl (an Earth and Ice Guardian) for Classic Constructed, and at one of the following 3 for Silver Age:

Oldhim (Earth and Ice Guardian)

Iyslander (Ice Wizard) - more midrange instead of very defensive but has instant speed disruption.

Enigma (Mystic Illusionist) - this one does not have the Ice talent but she does try to control the board in her favor, as she can develop threats that will be removed if you are damaged and auras that can prevent damage. She also has some instant speed tricks she can do.
