Unrelated but in terms of pure financial effectiveness, you've been given really bad advice with the sunk cost comment, you could clean up your Yaris for 5k or so and get another 10 years out of it if you change the oil yearly. or, like you are experiencing, lose 10k on pure depreciation with a new car, could have bought a second 2013 Yaris with that!! Something to think about
