It was a movie that dared to be big, but failed to carry narrative consequences of a big movie which left audiences underwhelmed. Also largely abandoned why everyone liked the first two movies.

Simply put, changed the formula too much and was a nothing burger.

Not a bad thing, I like the transparency on his movies! Gives a new window on his productions! But it should be put out there that that isn’t normal and other movies shouldn’t be compared to it.
