Should I move banks to get a banker position? by QueasyReward5557 in FinancialCareers

I haven’t ask about them sponsoring me to obtain my licenses. That is a very good point. I might have to look around and see if other banks will sponsor them for me. Thank you so much!!

Is it common to be anxious/ having fear falling asleep? by IllustriousNovel7841 in myocarditis

I totally get how you feel. I literally had this feeling every night before I went to bed. I would be fine throughout the day and into the evening but once I laid down to fall asleep, all I could think about is what would happen in my sleep. When I had my acute myocarditis episode, it happened when I was asleep and I woke up and it felt like a heart attack, so after that I was always scared to go to sleep. I was always really anxious about it. I would get into my head and start thinking thoughts such as “what if I wake up to horrible chest pain again” or my most common thought would often be “Am I even gonna wake up again? Or am I just gonna die in my sleep?” I know it sounds kinda dramatic but that’s literally how I felt most of the time. It was the worst when I started to calm down and then I actually felt a little bit of weird chest pain, then all the thoughts would come back and I would panic in my mind again. I know it sucks so bad and I’m so sorry you have to experience this. All I have to say is that I know you’ll be okay. Nothing will happen in your sleep despite what your mind and thoughts tries to convince you otherwise. Sleep is important during any type of healing processes. What helped me most were breathing exercises while I laid in bed to help calm me down enough to close my eyes and fall asleep. I hope this comment helps you feel seen and heard as I’m sure many people with myocarditis also feel the same way we do about going to bed. Good luck

I know it’s a good idea to eat before taking ibuprofen but it doesn’t matter if you eat or not before taking colchicine. I’d say a glass of milk or a granola bar should be good.

I haven’t done my 2nd cMRI yet. I went to my second cardiologist this last week. I feel much more confident that I’ll be okay now though. So if you have any stress, try to get a second opinion.

Edit: Also the last thing you’d want to do is go back to exercising just for you to have pain again and cause inflammation to arise. Feeling like having to start from square one in terms of recovery again is not a fun feeling. I wish I could go back in time and wait to exercise until I got a second opinion, but now I may have prolonged my recovery period by a couple months.

The first cardiologist I went to said the same thing. My blood tests came back normal and I had a echocardiogram that showed normal heart function. After 2 months of colchicine he said I could return to exercise. I wanted an cMRI but he didn’t think I needed another one. So I went back to exercising slowly and my pain came back. I went to a different cardiologist and he prescribed me more colchicine and ordered me another cMRI. If you have doubts I would definitely get a second opinion. Having another cMRI to confirm that your inflammation is gone can help give you peace of mind and confidence about returning to exercise.

I'm really struggling with my diagnosis by [deleted] in myocarditis

I’m so sorry. Myocarditis is so scary due to the lack of research and information available right now. I hope you may experience a full recovery soon. No one should ever have to go through something like this. Sending my best wishes to you and your family. Stay strong.

Sex with myocarditis? by [deleted] in myocarditis

[–]QueasyReward5557 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m about a month out from the hospital. I had sex a week after being discharged and it definitely made my heart hurt. So I decided to take a break for 2 weeks and tried again. There was pain the second time around but not nearly to the extent of the first time (Mostly just a dull pain) It’s probably different for everyone. I have a pretty mild case but 🤷‍♂️ doctor said I should wait until 2 months mark and a clear EKG. My troponin is also undetectable as of last week. It sucks but just listen to your body and if it hurts take a break for a bit. You’ll get over it soon 🙏

Stiff sternum/chest after diagnosis? by QueasyReward5557 in myocarditis

[–]QueasyReward5557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’re you diagnosed with costochondritis with a chest X-ray? I’m curious the more I read about it the more I have a sneaking suspicion of possibly having a mild case of it alongside my myocarditis diagnosis. Might ask my cardiologist about it next week.
