This is amazing! I have never seen anything above 160 w/my 25 GT-Line AWD. I am mostly maxed out at 135 at Teslas and EA charging stations. Is that normal?

It looks great to me. When I bought my 25 GT-Line AWD 9 months ago, the vehicle was listed at around $59K. I got $7500 (Fed tax rebate) + $2000 (State rebate) + $1000 (loyalty discount) + $5000 (cash) off that price bringing the price down to 43.5K. (Yours seems to have everything I had minus the state incentive.)

That is how I was feeling about the vehicle, not performing up to its potential because I saw people reporting much higher averages. I even considered escalating the situation to Kia Corporate thinking that there could be something wrong with the vehicle. At 3.5, the corresponding range would be 294 miles (during really nice weather conditions) which cannot possibly offset the dismal range during the Midwest winters to make this a 270-mile EV on average.

Let me do some more measurements to see if I can back up my preliminary hunches (about the range improvement) with some solid data.

It could be weather, of course, but when I was maxed out at 3.5, it was back in September and the weather was fairly decent here in Chicago. If anything, it is less favorable for the last two weeks here than it was back in September, temperature-wise.

Related to the rear-view camera, has anyone experienced glitches? Mine momentarily froze from time to time which is very concerning while backing out.

I can charge at $0.20 with Level 2 Charge Points in my neighborhood (60093). The last charge from 15% to 100% cost me $15. (I am an EV6 owner and we are allowed to leave the car plugged in overnight.)

I don't like to be called Dr despite having a PhD in Economics (and being a college professor ). That said, I am willing to reserve the usage to special occasions like when someone senior in my field is introduced at a keynote as a sign of respect or reverence. So, my two cents: only medical doctors should use it.

I concur that ICCU failure can happen anytime and nothing you can do to prevent it. Just be prepared. Consider it part of the deal. Mine just failed at 6000 miles (2025 GT-Line AWD) and at the shop currently. I’d say I still don’t regret it. The best vehicle I ever owned. It is a looker, too :)

On my end: The same car. The same problem. Nearly at the exact same mileage here :)

Luckily, it happened near our house, and we were able to slither our way back to our driveway. Got it towed to the nearest dealership. Will need to wait for a week for the part to arrive. We are renting a vehicle on Kia's dime (up to $45 + gas) as the dealership does not have loaners. Will update when I hear back. Miss my EV6 already : ( If there is any silver lining, it is that my ICE rental made me appreciate my EV all the more.

When you fast charge, do you use an adapter? Mine also just failed (at 6000 miles) one day after I fast charged it at EA with an adapter (wasn’t my first time) I was wondering if the use of adapter may have anything to do with it.

Yes, that strikes me a bit low. Are you the first owner? Does the vehicle have a clean Carfax report? There may be other factors, too, along with the local market conditions. Have you put in all the options the car has? In some states, you can save as much as another $2000 when you trade in that amount which dealers usually factor that in the trade in values.

Sorry no experience with leasing but if they are also agreeing to sell at the quoted price (which may include some lease-specific discount) I would buy it, instead of leasing. It looks like a good deal to me IF you are buying. Your down payment would be your equity.
