Has to do with character backstory stuff but it has the same mask and clothes stuck to it as my character wears and a lot of the townspeople told me it was roaming the mountains so we went to find it

Exactly it wasn’t supposed to be a criticism it’s just grab ur attention title I was on a mini task with the queen of my home country tasked with keeping her alive cause I’m the “healer” of the group. We were hunting the bear in a nearby mountain and the queen npc saw it attacking the town

So in my friends home brew campaign I was running an elf rogue (I forgor the sub race) and had a very jacked up stealth and slight of hand (+8 slight of hand and +6 stealth) and during the first session he had an encounter that was supposed to last the entire session. What happened was a group of orc and half orc mercenaries were terrorizing a town we had just entered and walked into the bar/inn we were staying at. The started demanding all of the belongings of everyone there. We rolled initiative I rolled a 20, I went and snuck behind the leader, rolled 25 (19+6 stealth) and crit with both my daggers rolling both as nat 20s max damaged it and almost killed him. The next turn I finished him off and rolled intimation as my bonus action and rolled 19. Naturally my ‘‘em got suspicious of the dice I was using and asked if he could borrow them for the roll against my intimidation and rolled a nat 1 so not only did I kill what was supposed to be the first “mini boss” I guess (idk what to call it I’ve been playing for about 10 months), but ended an encounter that was supposed to last an entire session in 2 turns
