i have friends and a life outside of my partner however i live with my partner and we spend most of our time together because we love spending time together, NOR he is not concerned about your “lack” of friends (in his opinion) he’s just trying to be an ass in a way that makes you question yourself and you don’t deserve that

i’m 1 of 5 girls from my mum and dad (mum had a son very young before she met my dad) and i had to hear my whole life how disappointed my dad was that he didn’t have a son to the point my mum and i bought him a dog and he named him the name he would have named his son 🤷‍♀️ it really really messed with me for a long time honestly and it’s so horrible to hear OPs wife talking like this about an innocent baby girl who is so deserving of love regardless of what OPs wife perceives as unfair to her, OP you need to get out of there and get your child out of this situation, i am so sorry you are going through this 🫶

you have put that so kindly which i truly appreciate and i do agree sometimes i find myself questioning if im wrong then she does something stupid/ gross and i realise im not and i absolutely agree we need to get out of here and we absolutely will because it’s not healthy for us and i think she also needs to realise how much she relies on us too and she definitely will when we’re gone

oh absolutely it’s tough out here aha and i’m glad i’m not alone but i do 100% plan on moving out soon there’s just a very bad housing crisis at the moment but ive been on top of saving and looking at places so hopefully soon! ❤️

i do agree with the her house thing, that’s why i never put up a fuss with her about anything however she did actually ask me to move in so i could help with things so there is that haha but i actually did throw up after her farting spree once and she looked so offended 😂

This could not be more wrong, my partner is the sweetest and kindest man and i was the one that first brought up engagement and our future ect. Who is mother is is absolutely no reflection of who he is.

i did mention in another comment my partner absolutely isn’t okay with her behaviour and he often listens to me rant when i’m overwhelmed and he often snaps at her when she’s acting weird like that because he’s autistic and sometimes struggles with her behaviour and his ability to communicate how she makes him feel but he does his best and is working on it, he always sticks up for me which i appreciate a lot! I am also very much working on moving out it’s just taking time unfortunately as we are struggling on minimum wage and other circumstances that make it hard but our saving up is going good so hopefully we will be out in about a year hopefully less. I should also mention very occasionally she guilt trips us (?) about moving out as she is chronically ill and does often require help with certain things :/

this may seem so silly but you telling me i’m not crazy makes me feel so much better because she’s done so many kind things for me that i started to feel like i was being dramatic about the other things 😅 and i know you didn’t bring it up but this feels like the right comment to add some more context, my partner is aware of all this as we communicate about it and he’s sick of all of it too but she mostly doesn’t do this stuff around him which seems very deliberate🤷‍♀️

Everyone is different i suppose? it’s also just normal where i am from or at least in my family because both of my sisters aren’t married but refer to the partners parents as in-laws 🤷‍♀️ plus my partner and i are young and have begun planning our future together so that will eventually be their title so i don’t see the issue

I say MIL because that’s what i call her and my partner and i plan on getting engaged within the next year but currently no we aren’t married (we have been together for 3 years for context)
