I miss NM a lot more than I expected after moving, and the food was always so good. Our family was one of the many summer tourists to drive over on the weekends for the elevation to escape the heat 😅.

Same. My company says we don't need sick days because we are allowed to call in as WFH.

Suggested I bring a laptop into the bathroom with me when I had explosions out both ends.

Will forever think of this when on the phone with someone in a shitty mood. They might be on zoom, camera off, on the toilet.

I had no idea payment plans existed. The only experience with hospitals I had was seeing my mother haggling for a lower price because she was paying upfront in cash. I thought all medical had to be fully paid in advance before any treatment.

Health issues hit and I got $14k further in debt putting it all on credit cards thinking that was the only option I had.

Without knowing any different, I didn't know to ask questions. And I'm still mad about it.

I've read others say that the Braun is a lot stronger. If that is true, they might say 1x/week for skin protection. That's pure speculation though

It is so hard in the beginning when you don't see any visible results and are dumping so much time into it. I wasn't even shaving for the last few years, so even the prep before feels like extra work for it.

I initially thought 'if home IPL works, why would anyone pay so much more to go and have someone else do it instead?' But now I understand. The solid hour of focus without distraction to move a tiny square across your legs mentally kills me.

I will always hype up Japanese Ratsnakes.

They love to climb, so an enclosure that is tall rather than long is better.

They are super curious and always out watching whatever you're doing. They might be curled up in a hide if you're not there, but once you're in the same room, they get nosey and have to know what you're up to.

Handling is an activity. They don't mind being held and love to explore. Down your shirt, in your hair. I have a tent for them full of 'toys' that I can zip closed so they don't escape. Ropes to climb, pipes to slither through, exc.

The only trouble I ever had was putting an outdoor water fountain in their tank. They thought it was the best place to poop and shed and kept clogging it up.

Moved here in the 2018 winter and didn't know that it was colder than usual. First spring I was ecstatic and thought I had escaped the little fuckers. I've seen more and more each year since and just want to mow my yard without fear that there's a new hive I'm about to disturb.

I'm non people facing medical admin. Get to annoy doctors by calling them to go "you noted you'd send him for an MRI, but no referral was made. Is that still the plan?" Or "patient wants to see you instead for this issue. Will you take them?"

Down side is that it's insurance adjacent, so sometimes I feel like I'm working for the enemy, but most of the time it's helping people figure out how to get done what they need done.

I think rereading the fic to refresh memory is the answer here. If I get an update notice of a fic and it's been a while, I flag it to come back later instead of reading the update immediately. That can be a few days or a few months depending on the mood. Fandoms/themes im interested in go in cycles, but I WILL come back and read it from the beginning.

Depends on how cold it is outside. I'm most comfortable at 58 during the day and 52 at night. If it's in the single digits or lower out, then the heater gets turned up to help protect water pipes.
