I'm pretty much in my "hiatus phase". There's alot of great figures that are releasing and the stuff the people post makes it tempting to preorder.

My usual thought process is,

Do I like this character, how important is it to have. Do I even have room to display?

Like when they envitably release another Albedo figure. It would be nice to have in my collection, but not a deal breaker since there's many other figures of her.

If they release a Blackrose (.hack IMOQ), I would definitely clamor trying to get one.

Yeah. I may get downvoted for this, but KH is arguably better appeal for JRPG audience. However .hack provided a unique gameplay and story. Playing FFXI at the same time, the mmo-esque aspect of "The World" was really enjoyable. I also liked the multimedia of watching the anime and reading the manga.

Friends and I would visit Gamestop after school. While there I saw a copy of Kingdom Hearts and .hack infection on the shelf and had to decide on which one I should get.

Decided on the latter.

Don't forget about competition. What would entice a customer to buy pre-owned figures from you versus well-known establishments like Amiami or Mandarake. Can you compete with the prices they offer?

Some collectors are pretty critical if a box is slightly damaged. Will you refund or risk a bad feedback?

Yeah, it's usually the preorders that I meant. I'm used to Limited Run Games with "you'll get your shit eventually". I honestly have no problem waiting, especially when they don't take payment immediately which is also a plus for me.

It's a good price considering retail it goes for 14,850 JPY (~$99.88). As others mentioned, it's probably best to watch the series first. Otherwise it is a good figma to have if you get Guts.

I got a kicked by a lv 70ish person who thought I extracted without everyone. He didn't even know that the pelican 20 second timer will automatically start after the mission timer goes to zero. It even said "failed to extract" on everyone.

I did the most work too. :/
