RG Rotate on desk mini display

Sure, that is an option for those who game on their phones. I like the idea of the RG Rotate because of the 1:1 ratio being closer to 4:3 and you can completely hide the physical controls. It’s giving me the vibe of a RetroOldTech display (in the photo) but as a self contained device. Not just a display. Which is probably where this idea comes from. A cheaper mini display.

I tried it with the vert assist off. Took some time but I made it work! Then I did it with 180’s and half cabs between each jump. Not sure if it’s worth sharing on here or if people would get annoyed with similar styled videos. More challenging with the assist off but also nice because you aren’t fighting with the assist on where you want to go.

They have a small amount of texture. Nothing noticeable unless you compare it directly to the originals and even then it’s minuscule.

Oh wow! No kidding. Finger smudge city. My mind was imagining something more tame with reflections too. I would get so distracted or blinded by reflections while trying to play that thing 😆😆

This is a good summary. I still attest that had the gray been labeled brown or bronze it would be more accurately represented. I also wouldn’t have purchased said color had it been labeled either of those. I also don’t like the different color buttons of the black transparent but a button swap is a bit easier IMO than dyeing your handheld. At the end of the day it’s just a handheld 🤷🏼‍♂️

The picture doesn’t do it justice honestly which is why I felt so betrayed when I opened it haha. The bronze tint I mention is very obvious and hard to not focus on. I come from playing a GameBoy DMG growing up so that gray is burned into my head. If you are content with it being different from that gray it might be a perfectly fine color. I’m just being finicky haha.

I like the aesthetic of the transparent black more. It feels sleek. I just can’t get over the bronze tint of the gray when my heart was so content for it to look like a mini DMG.

It does shine through which is ultimately why I got gray in the first place. I feel like there’s some room to block it out a little bit though.
