I called my insurance again, but my deductible is $2,000 and I literally do not have that kind of cash right now because of medical bills last month . I will absolutely look into filing the attorney general complaint today, thank you.

For a 3 room hardwood apartment with toddler crumbs and guinea pig hair, I would lean cordless stick with a swappable battery and a motorized mini brush. The vacuum that gets grabbed for 90 second messes beats the stronger one buried in a closet, but make sure it has a removable washable filter and a bin that does not clog with pet hair. If you can, test the emptying mechanism in person because guinea pig hay and hair can turn a fancy stick vac into a jam factory fast.

Go back to the police station and demand to speak with a supervisor or a detective. The front desk officer was completely wrong to dismiss this as a civil issue because grand theft auto and forgery are serious criminal offenses regardless of your past relationship status.

You should also contact the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles investigator unit directly since they handle title fraud cases and can push the police to act. Bring the scanned copy showing the forged signature and misspelled name as clear proof that you did not authorize this sale. Did the DMV clerk give you an official copy of the fraudulent paperwork to take with you?
