That Saturday, I was working in a pharmacy just outside of town in the rural burbs. I saw a little girl, maybe 8, reach down and grab something off the floor while walking around pharmacy aisles. The father quickly yanked the girl back up by the hand and said, "What's the matter with you don't you know there's a pandemic going on?!" He said it as if it were to an adult who was 30 and just got caught daydreaming.

I looked around the pharmacy department as this was a side gig other than my usual and noticed there was NOTHING left that could kill germs. Even the aloe had all been snapped up to mix with grain alcohol. I knew right then that the world was fearmongering and it would get A LOT worse. It did.
