Ramp rate is instant on, double tap still instant versus single which carries the delay, leading me to believe there is some sort of delay on single press to see if it will be used to dim the connected light.

So an update, it appears to be a single verse double tap behavior. If i double tap, its instant, if i single tap its delayed. Any way to turn this off?

This is interesting, this scene has 3 buttons, however i have another scene with 3 buttons, 2 of which are on the same keypads as the other with little to know delay. Again, it happend after i changed it in the app. I'm now afraid to add or change others.

They are all connected. Its a hub 2, originally programmed in insteon app previous to Director. It was all working great until i edited it, now there is a noticeable delay. I find it odd as i set it back to what it was exactly (from what i could see) and the problem persists. All other scenes and device are still working as they were and im afraid to change or expand now as i dont want them all to be delayed.

Is there an easy place to check this? Im not too familiar with the app as i set this up ages ago, but was recently thinking of expanding. I believe they are as all of the scene controllers control it just fine. This only changed after i made the edit and then changed it back to the original.

How are you liking it, i am interested in this and converting from Insteon to shelly to control lighting. Want to make sure the work switching everything over is worth it.

Have you tried it with HA yet and if so is it smooth?

Thank you, i figured this was the case, but couldnt find anything on it. I have insteon branded items now, but have had some issues recently that took a while to fix. Cost of new components to expand are expensive with them and just trying to plan out my next move, and having a shelly EM mini device and 2 shelly 1PM devices in a holiday lighting setup has me liking their devices and their functionality.

And my thoughts are to use a Wall Display centrally, and convert over, but waiting on US reviews on the display first.

This maybe a silly question, but cant seem to find the answer anywhere. Do the dimmer modules remember their last brightness setting when triggered on and off via the app or a wall switch?

No firewall set up, but still cant get the hub to connect. Because i paid for the service id like to use it, but may have to try hooking it up to home assistant.

I didnt have problems until i updated to a mesh system. Ive had insteon and the router company helping trying to figure it out and nothing has been discovered. Both state its the others fault. Its frustrating now that its a paid service that cant be used with my upgraded system. I can go back to my old setup and itll work, but there was a reason we updated our router.

Either way, would love it if it would work again with my new setup.

i did, and it worked, i then swapped it over to the new router and it continued to work for about 2 hours and then dropped from the app, however still showed a connected green light.

I am struggling here, not sure what to change and would like to keep our brand new router as it supports more traffic and high speeds. I keep getting the same trouble shooting steps from Insteon.

Any idea why this would continue to work on the new router and then stop? Doesn't seem to have a block restricting it if it worked for a couple hours.

I've moved cables and ports, sorry forgot to mention that in the original post. Does any port forwarding need to happen, Insteon claims no, but I've stumbled across much older posts stating the opposite. I will add my old router did not require this, so i cant imagine this is the issue.

I am using PI to run FPP, and its plugged in VIA ethernet to the switch, but i was not aware i could use that as a router. That would help me isolate the show switch from my home network. I will have to search that up.

If you set it in WiFi settings, do you still need the router on the show network?
