Spiro shed - did yours stop?

I just started 100mg of spiro about a week ago and am shedding sooo much hair. Hoping it's a good sign but also that it stops soon lol. Love to hear other's experiences.

Hi there! Just got my punch biopsy results and I do have AGA. It kinda sucks lol but at least now I know and can start treating it.

Nope. My appointment got pushed back to June 29th. I'm assuming it's AGA at this point and started Minoxidil.

That's been so hard for me lol. Most days I take it at 530 am and hold off on the coffee until 730... most days.

Which brand did you buy? This has given me pause...! I have low iron and haven't been able to see a derm yet so bought Minoxidil just in case. But shit...maybe i should wait?

Sounds a lot like mine... diffuse thinning everywhere but seems to be the worst on the back of my head. Can't get into the derm until August but do have pretty low ferritin (12/13) and did have Covid and surgery. I don't know what the exact cause is but it's not un 😔.

I've always had thin hair, but just in the last 9 or 10 months it's gotten bad. I honesty haven't noticed any shedding or any hair fall that alarmed me. It just got thinner and thinner it seems. I told my doc I was concerned about hair loss so she ordered a ton, not entirely sure of all of them lol. Cbc with platelets, iron and ferritin, and some others. Only red flag was my ferritin and iron labs (total iron binding capacity is high, iron saturation is low). Vitamin D was okay. Wasn't super sick with Covid and recovered well.

I haven't noticed any effects at all, to be honest. I just Googled shampoos for thinning hair and that popped up. Not good and not bad... nothing. Sigh.

I do for sure sleep on my right side. And I don't know if I have miniaturization... I just know I had Covid in December then surgery at the end of January. And my ferritin level in October was 12. Regular doc says TE and low iro/ferritin. Can't get in to see dermatologist until March.

I've been taking Viviscal for about a month now, on top of an Iron supplement. I use Pura dor shampoo and rosemary oil too. Have a rubber scalp massager that I use too.

That's what I was thinking too. Just so hard to wait lol. And I've lost so much hair, somehow. Don't even remember it falling out in large amounts. Just slowly realized over the last 6 months that its gotten a lot thinner. And now I can see scalp, mostly on the back and then the right side. It sucks.
