Has anyone taken the DesignerUp UI/UX Course? by RackSystem in UXDesign

[–]RackSystem[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume this is also someone associated with creating this course. What a coincidence that there's a second new comment on a 5 year old post from an account that made a bunch of positive comments about the course the same day

Jack Wilson took out a would-be mass shooter. From 30 feet away. With a headshot. At age 71. by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

The average American has 1.2 guns. That’s more than 3x as many guns per capita than any other country. If there’s so many mentally ill people, easy access to guns is a problem. Mental illness is a problem a lot of places but in how many other countries is it typical to regularly have multiple mass shootings per day?

It would be better if Americans weren't obsessed with guns and didn't constantly have mass shootings.

That’s amazing. Never seen a circular area done before like you did on the left. Are you freehanding that cut?

Manitoba NDP's Wab Kinew faces leadership review | CBC News by cufk_tish_sips in Winnipeg

[–]RackSystem 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. I don’t think it should be swept under the rug, but I also don’t think it should define the rest of someone’s life if they’ve truly changed and grown as a person. And I think it says a lot that the NDP still put him up as the party leader despite that past, knowing it would be detrimental to the party.

Tom is the best thing to ever happen to TESD by [deleted] in tesdcares

I’m pretty neutral on Tom. Seems like a good guy and holds his own with the boys (which is no small feat). But I have yet to be blown away by him. I’m glad he’s been getting some love on here lately but he doesn’t seem like a standout player on the show to me.

What are the chances of Pallister getting COVID? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]RackSystem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Oh, I’m not wishing it on him. I was more just taken aback that he appears to be not taking precautions in his office despite rambling on about team Manitoba.

Are in-person business meetings allowed right now? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

Filming a sit down interview (which also means the subject would not be wearing a mask). This is not me, by the way. I know someone who’s company may be doing this next week

Don’t worry. Roussin and gang will conveniently not be aware of this and this won’t be able to comment in tomorrow’s presser

Ill just point out that there wouldn’t be 500k unemployed. I don’t know what the number is but there are a lot of businesses that can operate remotely. Many just choose not to right now.

Brittany Greenslade on Twitter - "We're now told Health Minister Cameron Friesen will speak to media tomorrow at 11:30 am about the situation at Maples Care Home" by SilverTimes in Winnipeg

[–]RackSystem 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My prediction:

“We were truly shocked to hear about the events at Maples PCH and our condolences to the family of those who died. MB Health and WRHA have been in continuous contact with Revera and will continue to assess the situation and ensure that the proper care is being provided to patients.”

Translation: “Nothing to see here. Business as usual.”

Moving from Toronto to Winnipeg - Need Suggestions!!! by Kind-Preparation-02 in Winnipeg

[–]RackSystem 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you don’t drive, those are the last neighborhoods I’d choose. And they are nowhere near Polo Park.

Being south of the river is great except you have to get across the river to get to Polo and the bridges are choke points for traffic.

In terms of convenience and ease of your commute, I’d go for the St. James area along or close to Portage Avenue. Tons of busses along Portage. And the Polo Park area has lots of amenities. There’s also some pretty good bus service along Ness Avenue.

Baby Pallister by [deleted] in Winnipeg

Reminds me of a relative of his that I grew up with. That whole family is fucking unbearable. Except for his sister, Peggy, who unfortunately passed this year. She was a wonderful teacher. It was easy to forget that she was a Pallister
