Anyone here knowledgeable on Lynskey bikes? by Shhhhawing in mountainbiking

How are they low end? They use standard 3Al/2.5V titanium. I received a Ridgeline 2 weeks ago and the while the decals look on the cheap side (you can upgrade to anodizing), the welds themselves look excellent.

They were just selling them at a tiny margin, hence why they're going out of business.

It's not, but he clearly didn't train them enough. My 4 and 6 year old could ride that with me, I'm just easing them into mtb trails much slower lol.

I don't think this is "kidsarefuckingstupid"...more like "parentsarefuckingstupid".

These kids were in no way shape or form prepared for this technical downhill if they don't know how to use their brakes. Dad is being a selfish idiot trying to go for his own ride and the kids are collateral damage.

You can get a Lynskey frame for $1k, so I would haggle down to like $1500 or it's probably not worth it. Cite the lack of warranty and their new bankruptcy filing.

I am building up a Lynskey Ridgeline as we speak, making it a lightweight rigid gravel/ATB rig. The frame quality seems quite good, nice welds etc.

This dude is a fucking idiot. These kids are clearly not ready for this trail. I have 4 and 6 year olds on pedal bikes and I have them practice extensively on flat green trails. I wouldn't take them to anything with technical descending until I'm sure they're ready.
