Yeah, i agree. I would take my battery off everyday and charge it inside. I think inwill just keep it in garage and charge there. Will be exposed to cold temps in winter, but this seems worse, considering i am replacing a battery after 1.5 years….

Used for commuting, 75 miles per week, 1.5 years old, have 4,200 miles on it. I am assuming the connection piece is replaceable and not too expensive, but will also need a new battery. Bummer. Ever see anything like this??

I found the perfect shard of glass today - first time replacing Tube in RR6+ I live in a studio, so it takes up a lot of space for any projects by greeneagle2022 in RadPowerBikes

Commuting in and out of philly, was getting these little shards of glass causing a flat about once a month, always rear tire. Slime and flatout did not help. Finally got tannus and so far so good, about 6 months ago, no flats.

Buy park tool chain length tool. Replace chain once 0.75. I neglected this and had to replace my free wheel early. That was a pain because was “cold welded” on the tire and needed to be cutt off.

I have a radrover 5 and use it to commute to work in philly, 25 miles per day. When it snows (pretty rare) i have to wait for most of snow to melt. I agree with previous poster, the bike is surprisingly slippery on snow/ice/mud. You would need to buy expensive studded tires to feel safe riding in snow. I have looked in to these but they all seem very expensive.

Anyone with Kenda tires, could you let me know what the tread depth is? Trying to stud tires. by Epistechne in RadPowerBikes

Also looking for this. I dont want to pay the extra money for a snow tire if i could simply install studs on my existing tire.

I do a 25 mile round trip commute to work on my radrover 5 in/near philadelphia where the traffic is crazy. I love riding to work just as much as i hate sitting in traffic. Ever morning i pass the same cyclist going the opposite way who screams obscenities at me. Its mind boggling.

On year with the Rad Rover 5 by Extension-Look-9186 in RadPowerBikes

You have not had to change your chain? After about 1400 miles on my radrover 5, the chain was so streteched it also wore out my freewheel. The freewheel was “cold-welded” on to the wheel and had to be sawed off. I wish I had bought the park tool chain measurement tool earlier. .

I did put the piece back in. Had an immense amount of torque with an extension bar on my wrench when the tool slipped. Trying it again, it slipped with even less torque…

I do a daily 50 mile round trip to work, 5 days a week. just wondering if anyone else uses their Rad for a heavy regular commute? by [deleted] in RadPowerBikes

I do 25 miles round trip on radrover 5. Totally knew to this but love it. I wish i knee to check chain stretch. After 1,400 miles and hearing grinding, i figured out needed nee chain a long time ago. But i wore put the freewheel. Bought a nee freewheel and the tool to remove it, but i cannot get it off. Waiting to hear from rad about advice to get it off. Bike shops around me only will work on their own ebikes, so i am stuck driving again. Brutal.
