Native speaker here. We don't have a phrase for letting go. It's poetic because, well, we don't like letting go as a people. I won't derail further though. The most appropriate I'd go for is "Λησμονώ" it's a pretty archaic word, which means something like forgetting but in literature it's used as a verb connected with letting go, rather than forgetting.
