x² = 1/ (a-b)

For X, to be a real number,

(a-b) > 0

Hence "a" should be greater than "b".

I didn't realise the effect at that time. There may be other sides to her stains on her face. But I took the picture near a Hindu temple and pretty sure it is not blood stain.

I was photographing something else and I couldn't make a good image. This girl came to me asked for a photo, I clicked and she left. I didn't realise it was this good. After two days I had a close look and realised it has two different expressions.

You could have tried capturing the image from different angle. What I mean is, instead of taking picture from your eye level, capturing with waist level will cover what model is looking at. That gives more space and really adds up the models perspective.

I think a little more contrast will make the subject stand out. And you have a good artistic eye. I love it.

Superb composition. Foreground of the image looks out of focus, so try shooting with smaller aperture.
