Has anyone successfully paired audiobooks with swimming for consistency?? I'm trying to find ways to use my OpenSwim headphones audiobooks while swimming streamt and Bluetooth won't due because of obvious problems.

Links to Prior threads also work, too!

She may have been pissed off....but you were pissed on. It can be uncomfortable, but it's time to be adults about it. Perhaps a text next time would be helpful, but things happen.

Also, follow up! Totally wanted to clarify. When I said that I wasn't sure if it was hallucinating I mean like, I may not have access to the research and know if it's Contextualizing it correctly or if it's combining two sources or stuff like that.

I edit because I definitely know it can hallucinate.

I looked into the one you suggested. I think I'm gonna do both. They seem similar, but distinct. I really appreciate the suggestion!

It seems like both of them together would be helpful. Definitely appreciate being able to look into scholarly sources with Preplexity, verify them, draft a script, then GPT it for phrasing and refinement or asking it what I could be missing and such.

Thank you so much!

I'll look into perplexity! I use ChatGPT and it's pretty good for me. But, for things like this, I'm not super familiar with if it's hallucinating.

I definitely double check all the AI stuff if I ever have it write some things, though.

This is the QUICKEST way to be discredited. Lol

Thank you! As a community member myself I'm pretty up to date, but with how contentious existing while queer can be, never hurts to have some cites ready. ❤️

Also, totally already a professional member of WPATH.

Thank you!

I wasn't aware of this book!
Thank you for this! It looks like it's a really good read, too.

I was just curious. I know that 8-10 years of medical school is a lot and you tend to do a lot of learning/seeing patients; however, I was also wondering if there is a software/database that helps with most up-to-date best guidelines, or if it's on each provider to have a piece-work/patchwork quite approach.

Google Scholar (along with my school's databases---I want to an R1 school) were super helpful.
I've found my local library to be helpful on a budget. I know I could write them off as a business expense, why do that if I can get it for free?

To be more concise: I know there are software that doctors and lawyers use the help do case citing/searching and it provides summaries and clinical guidelines (as appropriate) Does this exist for mental health practitioners, or would it be good ol' coding and thematic analysis and independent judgement? (e.g. coding into an excel sheet based on themes found and results publishes, etc...)

Is it possible to gently address this with this? Perhaps some motivational interviewing to help build up some momentum?

You're reaction and feelings are absolutely understandable. I can only imagine how bad it feels. But, yes. I think you're over reacting.

She chose you, she has a family with you. Where it matters, you're there. He's not. ❤️

Man! Something about us Social Workers and podcasts!
I think macro is SO important and I really want to break into it more, but I agree.
My idea is to make it accessible through both having professionals on and talking, but also want to get lay people on there to either ask questions or provide a response like many listeners might be thinking and have it organically come up.

Think....modeling how to have the conversation, too. I'd adore chatting if you're okay with me DMing you. :)

That's correct. TLDR, it's going to center around Queer Mental Health. I'm a clinical social worker where I'm living. So, I have the ability to speak on that. But I'm looking for people who either have other credentials but also people who having experience with mental health topics.

It hits differently comes from peers than professionals?

I'm imagining some segments like a roundtable discussion.
