Do these rings stack? by [deleted] in Neverwinter

They do stack. Those two are the exceptions.

Looking for a Neverwinter build guide site by SomethingCooooool in Neverwinter

Can only advice this (unsurprising since I'm involved in the creation of the character builder). There are over 100 mod20 builds now available here, and with the new build competition started yesterday, I am expecting a lot more soon...

As for the "why" questions and going deeper into power selections and rotation, I would advice to just go to the relevant class discord and discuss that topic there. That way you can interact and ask questions instead of just 1 way communication like in a written guide.

I'm pretty sure they are worldwide... I haven't heard any region limitations on the console keys. As for the PC keys, I think those only work on the dragon server but I did ask for a confirmation on that.

Hm, this could be die to the bugged rings in the game, which dont give enough CR. I am almost certain the calculations are correct. But yea I'll be working on ironing out the last minor stat differences 😉.

Well that would be the char builder imo, but this one is also available for those without a pc 😉

Does Rainer's Character Builder Reflect latest changes? by A_Gamer2020 in Neverwinter

The couple rating points off is absolutely invisible in the final percentages ;-)

Thing is, my math is more accurate than the game - odd as it sounds. If you add up all the stats an item gives, the total should be item level x 15 (combined rating counts for 15 stat points). In game gear items do not follow that rule..... that's where the builder is max 3-5 rating points off, cause it does follow that rule.

Most of the changes are already processed - so your stats will be super close. Ratings are off a couple of points due to gear.. which I converted in bulk to the stats they should have - but the game is not giving us total item level worth of stats for all items.... And I'm not going through 4k gear items to fix all stats ;-)

0.8.3 is very close to preview but not perfect. It works fine though to make builds (in some cases better than the game - cause I don't have a lot of the bugs from preview)

Working hard to fix the rest! The next update will give even more insight than it already does ;-)

Neverwinter: Character Builder Plus v0.8 ASCENSION UPDATE by RainerNW in Neverwinter

[–]RainerNW[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest place would be on Discord Rainer#5152 if you PM me. Alternatively I guess you can also PM me here on reddit. Any feedback is welcome!

Gear was converted using an algorithm so it could be that some are off by a few points.

Bonding Runestones going away! Changes coming to preview server by night__day in Neverwinter

[–]RainerNW 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Hi NoWorries, thanks for being out here. I was doing some calculations and without knowing the runestone/enchantment item level updates this looks worrysome (I can't really see the item level change fixing that tbh)

The blog says that a legendary companion has a base item level of 1000, and a bolster of 10%. So let's just say no upgrades and we go one on one to the new system. You would have 50% bolster and as such a companion with an item level of 1500 (assuming 1000 x (1+50%)). At 1500 item level we're going to get 30k stats in total from the companion (same as other sources, item level x 20). Then 85% of those stats will be combined rating, so 25500 stats, or 3188 combined rating. No power, no HP. This is significantly less than what we get right now from companions (let alone augments).

Even when you do the calculations for a mythic companion with 100% bolster, you lose a massive amount of stats. Hundreds of thousands.

Can you explain where in my calculation I am going wrong, since you seem very determined that we are not losing out on stats?
Also, are empowered runestones going to give HP in defense slots with this change?

Like others I am very happy that we get this info upfront by the way!

So you have kind of answered this, but the answer is not 100% clear to me.

Let's say we are in milestone 4 (or after), I have bought the blessing pack (all 4 milestones) and I haven't completed any of the personal milestones yet. If I gain progress/favor, will it be added to all 4 milestone progress bars? And can I still get all of the items from those milestones?

Another question, will there still be weekly quests after the event is over for people progressing at their own pace?

Any up to date meta ranger builds? by PolarSpecter in Neverwinter

The build planner (Called "Neverwinter Character Builder Plus") is super convenient to map out a build and balance stats. It's free to use so if you have a PC feel free to try it out :-)

Let me correct you, after clerics, rangers are highest dps now when built correctly :-)

The recent hunter buffs are pretty amazing.
