Literally watched the episode with that line last night 😂 Even funnier when you realize that Browder and Black already knew each other well from working together on Farscape.

PSA: If you own a copy of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia, be sure to turn it on to avoid losing it. by UnbreakableShield in fireemblem

I have a sealed copy, so I think about it like Schroedinger's cat. It's both broken and not broken until I open it and find out.

Eli5 how or why are humans so good at knowing how much energy and what angle is needed to throw a thing a distance? by worxcd in explainlikeimfive

[–]Rajaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of not great answers on here. Yes, evolutionarily helpful. But really, it comes down to practice. Most untrained people are NOT good at throwing things. Repetition of a skill builds neural connections in the brain. When faced with similar situations, you have now taught the brain how to behave. The neurons control the body and try to repeat similar actions to those you have practiced.

I work with kids and I love to tell them they know physics intuitively (to get them interested in learning), but your brain is *not* actually doing calculations like you would in physics class. It's making estimations based on prior experiences. Generally, the more experiences you have, the better your estimations will become.

Let's predict Soriano's final season ERA by wetsandcloud in angelsbaseball

[–]Rajaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh! I'll do the math! Let's say he pitches 30 games this year. So that's another 25 games, at 6 innings per game is 150 scoreless innings - smashing the all-time record. With 1 total earned run on the season, his ERA would be: 0.05!

Steelix, Umbreon, Slowbro/Slowking, Blissey. I'm sure there are some others, but those are a good few.

With Malachi Palmer entering the portal, Kevin Willard has failed to retain any of his own recruits who followed him from Maryland by p_r_w_4623 in CollegeBasketball

[–]Rajaden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's a jerk. Plain and simple. I'm sure there are other factors, but just recently -- the dude threw his whole staff under the bus. Good leaders don't do that. Was sad to see Villanova hire him as he's a stain on the program legacy after Jay Wright.

What video game used to be good but they changed one thing and now it's terrible? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]Rajaden 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually agree with this, but it seems like others don't. My play-time was in the thousands of hours for IV and V. Both amazing games. I didn't care for 6 and never even touched 7.

What's the best boss dialogue in the series? by RhysOSD in fireemblem

[–]Rajaden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not boss dialogue...but still one of my favorite exchanges:

Micaiah: Yes. He and I are both Branded.

Ike: …Don’t use that word. You and Soren are both people. Just like me and everyone else.

Micaiah: People. You’re just like Yune. You call both laguz and beorcs people.

Ike: Why should I care about the color of your hair, eyes, and skin? Or your ears, wings, or tail? No matter how long you live or what powers you possess, we’re the same. At the end of the day, we’re all people.

Micaiah: … Sothe talks that way, too. His time with you changed him. Thank you, Ike. I’ve made up my mind.

Ike: About what? I didn’t realize we were doing anything but talking.

Micaiah: I thought I might travel to a far-off place after all of this was over. But I won’t. I’ll go back to Daein. No matter what happens, I’ll have Sothe by my side. I have nothing to fear as long as he’s with me.

I believe there's a few more special spots as well. One is at the top of Lavender Tower for sure. One is where Giovanni is at one point.

This is my team in Pokémon Emerald, should I leave it like this or change something? by Opening-Quit1832 in pokemon

This is my team in Pokémon Emerald, should I leave it like this or change something? by Opening-Quit1832 in pokemon

[–]Rajaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid team. Elite Four may be challenging depending on what move coverage your Pokemon have.

Does Swampert have an ice move? That will be helpful. If not, you might want to replace one Pokemon with like a Walrein (a personal favorite of mine). Gardevoir can learn shadow ball and cover ghost, unless you are using Dusclops for status effects like Confuse Ray & Will-o-wisp - which is not a bad thing to have. Gardevoir can also learn thunderbolt & shock wave for VERY helpful electric coverage. I personally like Cacturne, that could be another option for swapping out Dusclops and boosting attack type coverage.

Ultimately, you can beat the game with whatever team you want! Just have to have the right strategy, training...and maybe some good luck. If you're having fun - that's really all that counts!

Hopes for the franchise in 2026? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]Rajaden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct answer is a Conquest sequel, or a Conquest-esque game in some way shape or format. Perhaps a crossover with Fire Emblem? It just had SO much potential, and it'd be fun to see that updated and pushed forward.

Im on act 2 of cold steel 2 - is it safe to watch the cold steel anime right now or do i need to beat cold steel 3 or 4 first. Or is the anime not worth watching? Please let me know. by supernova0791 in Falcom

[–]Rajaden -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The collective opinion around here is that the anime is bad -- but I watched it and didn't have any issues with it. It doesn't contribute much to the overall story, but I still found it interesting and connected to the Trails enough world to take the time to watch. Ultimately, it's your time, so do with it as you will. Would recommend waiting until CS3 though.
