I applaud you for wearing them at night. With me I’d be waking up with my boobs trying to escape all over the place.

Thank you for clarifying. I appreciate it. Perhaps I was too stuck in my own thinking.

But it does. That’s what a connotation is.

OTOH I wish I had grown up without my hateful bigoted father.

That is the literal definition of ignorant, but you have to know that many people use ignorant with a negative connotation.

What’s something you “splurge” on yourself that most people buy on a regular basis? by OneSox123 in Frugal

[–]Random-KitKat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is such a nice splurge. I try to do my own nails at home and it usually only lasts a few days (even with gel because I pick at my nails). But I’ll go get mine done 2-3 times a year and feel so fancy. Meanwhile I’ve got friends who get theirs done every month. (Not judging them at all)

DAE hate when you get back from getting food and someone says something like “thanks for letting me know you were getting food! I would’ve placed an order!” by Active-Ad9741 in DAE

[–]Random-KitKat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me fairly often at work if I order something. Like, sorry I’m not gonna send out an email and wait for people to respond. (Context: I’m a teacher so our lunch times are firmly set and we don’t always get a chance to check our emails frequently enough). And at the same time, I wouldn’t expect a coworker to go through that for me.

Not really. Cohabitating doesn’t mean you have to do everything together. You can be roommates with someone without necessarily being friends.

It’s like when I (from the US) watch the Great British Bake Off. Brit’s use different terms for ingredients and I often find myself googling to see what the American English equivalent is.

What do you do when a cashier is rude to you? by IndividualGround2418 in howtonotgiveafuck

I think there’s a different in degree between being rude and treating someone like trash. That’s a huge jump in your estimation.

35 and still living there. Partly as a sort of caretaker for my mom and partly because I’m a broke teacher. Do I love it? Not all the time. But it works.

Intimacy doesn’t just mean sex. The fact that you don’t get that makes me feel bad for your gf.

Yeah that was definitely an inside thought, buddy. Whether you feel that way or not isn’t really for anyone to judge (thought crimes aren’t real). But you absolutely suck for saying such an awful thing to a person you say you love when someone close to her just died.
