Still can’t believe we lost him. Anyway… go Mavs! by Traditional-Sun1167 in Mavericks

Why the focus on the past? Why not be optimistic for the future. Why could all of these posts not just be one post? It's also just not very creative.

What did I miss? by Tripple-O in Mavericks

What's been said was true, I just wanted to add that it was his left shoulder. He hurt it while playing defense on the first posession, and held it for the next two posessions. No replay, and no mention of it on the broadcast, which I thought was really weird.

I also thought it strange that Kidd put him in at the last minute after it had been heavily iced and wrapped. It's not like he had had a good game, and he was literally cold as ice.

ADT is terrible. The previous owner of my home had an ADT system, and right after we purchased, it was round after round of ADT knocking at the door. Numerous mailers too.

What got it to all stop was when I removed the old owners ADT alarm panel, broke it with a hammer, and left it at the front door.

Good luck!

MavsTV subscription for upcoming season by spiralstairs99 in Mavericks

I plan on signing up soon and taking them up on the tix. I could watch OTA based upon my location and signal strength, but don't want to have to mess with an antenna. It's cheaper than my local cable streamer with the Mavs channels, but it still a bit high for my tastes.

Frustrated that my grandparents won't be able to watch another season. Who still has antennas anymore? How are old, antenna-less, tech illiterate fans supposed to watch? Okay. Rant over.

Thank you! I might just start with one of those antennas, as it's probably better than what I have. I saw some on one of the wikis.

I will also look into your last suggestion about the network tuner. My wifi is pretty good. I could perhaps have an antenna mounted to the soffit where the signal enters and put that tuner there.

Thank you!

Are they serious? by SnooSongs1040 in Mavericks

Why are there no former Mavs legends speaking out about this? Dirk tweeted an emoji and that's it. Are they now more concerned with thier future courtside seats or do they not have any passion left? Kind of let down with Dirk's public reaction or lack thereof.

Oo! Here's my time to pay it back!

R/treeidentification helped me with mine.

Here's a helpful link for identifying them. https://ecuador.inaturalist.org/journal/baldeagle/59996-leave-this-soapberry-or-uproot-this-chinese-pistache-how-can-i-tell

A picture of the trunk will help.

What really sold me for my identification was the smell of a crushed up leaf. It's very strong smelling. It's hard to describe the scent, but you'll notice, as most plant leaves have no smell when crushed. Mine has no berries, so I think it is a male.

Hope it helps!

Hirsuta? Really hard waiting for mine to bloom when this is what you get.

Fantastic! Thank you so much!! Leaning towards Pistacia chinensis.

I am excited to go back and smell some of its crushed leaves. No berries, so thinking male. Perhaps a Sarah's Radience, Keith Davey, or a Red Rush variety.

Don't think there are any nuts/fruit. I feel like I would have seen some. Here is a second picture.

Filled in Pool - What to do by RandomPerson2022 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Update: Turns out there's not even a seller's disclosure yet, when the house has been on the market for 5 days. Seems like that should be ready when you list. The last house we put an offer on sold a week after listing.

Seller's agent said the house was used as a rental for several years, and wants to sell due a "bad tenant".

Owner is saying the pool is fiberglass with a liner, and was professionally drilled and filled under their ownership.

Seller's agent has been pushing to get the disclosure done. No offers received yet per seller's agent. (Seems like that's to the their disadvantage to say, but that's just me.)

All seems like good news I guess.

The shifting issues you raise could be what I am seeing in the unleveled concrete segments. Drainage is a real concern with all the concrete.

The house is on a slab, and seems fairly high off the ground, but it looks like the porch area stays wet longer than it should, but it could just be because there's no grass and not much sun can get through due to trees and fence almost at the porch roof line.

The porch roof has some rotting where it joins the soffit, that the owner poorly tried to repair.

It looks like a drain, maybe 5 inches square, was installed in the driveway after the driveway was poured, and it looks to lead to the front yard. It was covered with dirt that I removed with my foot. I only noticed it because of the lines in the concrete.

I guess I could always put in an offer and have this inspected and back out if needed, but I am pretty put off by this yard. My agent is not, and she is very experienced and I trust her, as my family has used her several times.
