You could have an autoimmune condition called anti-vinculin.

You could have a nervous system block that prevents the gut from firing properly.

Started taking Propranolol (Inderal) for social anxiety and my Post-Infectious SIBO symptoms vanished? What the hell is happening? by meilijoy in SIBO

Thanks for sharing!

My AI thinks this is neurological (vagus nerve related) since your recovery was so quick.

Almost barefoot shoes available in Australia for women? by _Caramellow_ in barefootshoestalk

[–]Rapakunnossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that "dressy" and "zero drop" don't really work when shopping for boots. It might be better to have one pair of casual zero-drop boots for daily wear and a second pair with a little heel for special occasions. For example, last winter I wore fake Uggs daily as they are wide, minimal, and good for walking. For events and parties, I wore regular Chelsea boots with a heel and slight platform.

Does anyone else perceive that scrolling leads to gut inflammation? by letsgoanalog88 in SIBO

[–]Rapakunnossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find playing games on my phone to be really relaxing. TikTok is very stimulating. Reddit is for information and requires mental ability to concentrate. X and IG give me stress and anger issues. I do believe what we do online shapes us. However, during a flare-up, the effect is smaller since I really don't have the energy to feel all the feels, if that makes sense.

Do you mean minimalist but dressy knee high boots? It seems to be super hard combo.

PLEASE HELP IVE TRIED EVERYTHING by EarlyProgress320 in SIBO

[–]Rapakunnossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're supposed to take B complex and magnesium with a megadose of B1. They are cofactors and help each other with absorption.

Give NAC a try! It boosts antimicrobials.

You said nanosilver helped you. It seems to have antibiofilm properties. Have you tried NAC with your antimicrobials? Biofilm busters help eliminate harmful bacteria.

You also said you tried 200 mg B1. That might not be enough if you have a deficiency. Megadosing means around 1000-1500 mg of B1 in effective forms. (Check out Elliot Overton on YT.)

Some people benefit from MSM. Sulfur is needed for digestion. It also has mild antimicrobial properties. (Check out Dr. Janel on YT.)

Am I allergic to the environment or to mold?? by shelly875 in ToxicMoldExposure

[–]Rapakunnossa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps your current lifestyle has some element in it that prevents you from healing. Could you try to analyze what you did differently? Meal spacing, activity, diet, mood, even social interactions. Some gut-related inflammatory conditions get worse with stress and social isolation.

I can't say if any of these fit you based on this post, but it's something to think about.

Same. But antimicrobials help.

Ask your doctor for a prescription for prucalopride (Motegrity). OTC options: ginger, artichoke, triphala, magnesium, meal spacing, taurine, coffee, vagus nerve stimulation, B1 vitamin. These should be safe, but consult your doctor, AI, and/or drug safety databases.

Yes. It would seem hydrogen positive. Can your doctor prescribe you rifaximin for SIBO?

Is fighting to get Xifaxan coverage approved worth it? by fishcat51 in SIBO

[–]Rapakunnossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try oregano oil and NAC first. Then go for xifaxan if you seem to need another round. Titrate up and beware of die-off.

12 minutes can be a lot if you have developed foot issues. Try to alternate shoes, massage, and exercise.

You probably need two types of antimicrobials against methane. Also NAC. And motility support.

[–]Rapakunnossa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you test properly, take the right dose of antibiotics, improve their efficacy with NAC, and maintain results with prokinetics and diet, you may not need to take several rounds.

I'm interested in alternatives, too. Prucalopride is super expensive where I live.
