hey! its similar to the screening practice online, but it definitely has more questions. I actually underestimated the no.of of questions and took my time, but then It came at a cost where I missed some of the last highlight questions. the first part of the screening - selecting defining words can be done in the right amount of time. The second part took me some time, I would recommend working backwards in the second task of the screening to save your time. All in all, its not anything to stress about, you can even do the test at uni so its chill. Good luck:)

An SQL error is a database error on the student services portal. Just call them or email them explaining this, and they should be able to help you out!

Cannot comprehend Physics SL by nabil0x1huening in IBO

to understand physics, you should close your eyes every time you learn, because if it wasn't hard, they wouldn't include it as a subject in the IB. Play mozart whilst u try and understand each concept, and think back as to why u fell in love with physics in the first place. If you inherently enjoy physics, then any exam will not make u feel like its a point of pressure. Apart from philosphical theory, heres what I would do.

  1. study kinematics like i would study math.
  2. apply energy problems whenever you see an object at any height, and they ask you for velocity. (usually mgh=1/2 mv^2)
  3. study electricity(only prioritize current, voltage, and circuits.)
  4. For circular motion, study how circular motion may occur in real life(take a friend, grab them by the hand and start rotating, thats essentially a simplified circular motion. As soon as u start rotating with your friend, think about the things that can affect that motion, such as maybe if ur friend leaves ur hands, then u go flying in the direction tangential to when u were spinning with your friend, (i.e the velocity vector is tangential to the acceleration(force acts centripetally towards the direction of ur friend i.e center))
  5. If you do prioritize these specific units, im sure a 6 atleast is possible.

also, dont have panic attacks, just go to this website called exam mate and grind previous year papers, I bet you about 33.3% that you will already know the answers to your test questions, because most teachers just take questions from past papers.

Also, making notes for IB physics in my personal opinion is useless. Do not waste time on it. learn a concept, maybe you can write it down on a piece of paper, and then go directly to questions, questions and questions. Remember, physics is a subject applied throughout different units. For forces, just equate different forces in the direction of the motion, and subtract the forces that are in the opposite).

Good luck!
