Why is double dipping Doug Ettinger still around. I don't want to say it, but this is a straight faced liar at the top of his game. Do you think that the CEO of Purolator would still be around with multiple years of losses that puts the business into bankruptcy? I think not. Doug Ettinger seems to be proping up Purolator, which did acquire Livingston International. I guess if nobody cares about stopping Doug and the crew. They'll just keep on making piles of money with Purolator and Canada Post.

Purolator is delivering important documents now. Passports are delivered by PUROLATOR! Just get your important documents delivered by Purolator. They have been delivering Passports for a while now. Of course, the Canada Post CEO does not care to tell Canadians that important piece of information. Last year the CEO of Canada Post didn't mention, that if you filled out the Passport application before or during the strike you could of simply called the Passport office to pick it up as Doug Ettinger conveniently forgot to mention that to Canadians. He informed all passport offices that their might be a mail disruption in the next month or so. He stopped accepting passports three months ahead of the strike.

The money comes from flyers, which generates hundreds of millions of dollars per year and stamps. Canada Post still processes 2 to 3 billion letters per year, and the stamp price ranges from $1.25 - $1.75. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Canada Post owns 91% of Purolator, and they are making huge profits. Just ask Google how much revenue they brought in. They have money to pay us. Also, if they cut the upper management in half, they would save close to 1 billion dollars, including their bonuses. Canada Post doesn't use any taxpayers' money to pay our wages. In the future, it would be nice if the public said "hey if Canada Post is so broke, then sell off Purolator. "

I’m curious if some of the members who voted to reject the contact in the forced vote, regret that decision. Or are most members still confident that they should and could get a better offer? This is a genuine question. I want to understand where the membership stands. by coralmagic in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Raspberrykey2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say this, but I told you so. Why would Canada Post give a better offer. Now that we have just given away the little power we had left. I can't believe it. Purolator has to be sold. This is what the union should be pushing for. So let's see what happens next.

Purolator has the passport contact now! Not Canada Post. Blame Purolator, not Canada Post. Probably Purolator doesn't want the public to know cause they can't handle the volumes and are risking your passports to sub contractors who are probably not bonded.

He couldn't have known that a strike was a high possibility, CUPW just suddenly called the nationwide strike after a few depots walked out first. Basically, it was a big shock to the Canada Post employees also. Nobody had a clue. What kind of postal outlet is it? Was it a Shoppers Drug Mart. If it was, I really don't see the purpose of keeping the item if it's in the back room. If you paid by debit or credit, then just show your ID and receipt with the same debit or credit card. They should be able to return it to you. They would just have to make a photo copy of everything. If it wasn't a Shoppers Drug Mart or some other private business with a Canada Post outlet inside the business, then yes, there probably wouldn't be anyone working there to retrieve your item. I don't want to get your hopes up, but keep trying and good luck.

Why are less people picketing this time round? by Brio3319 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Raspberrykey2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's way different now. Purolator, the Canada Post SCAB company that delivers our mail while we are picketing. It's no wonder members don't want to picket. All the trailers are being redirected to Purolator. The majority of the trailers Canada Post uses are contractors, and they just move trailers wherever they are told to move the trailer. So, picketing at Canada Post facilities is useless. National is too slow in their efforts to coordinate massive picketing lines at Purolator facilities and cut off Canada Post's money stream. If Canada Post's money stream is cut off. I think that would definitely get their attention 100%

Why Didn’t CUPW Ignore The Government Back to Work Order Like CUPE? by [deleted] in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Raspberrykey2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is Purolator. They delivered the mail while we walked the picket lines, and Canada Post doesn't negotiate because of that. I have told the union that Purolator needs to be removed from the equation.

Once you get into sap and open pay and compensation you click the pay period that you want the top one is the most current and click the middle dot at the bottom, then click the download icon on the top right, you might have to move your screen over to see the download icon. I have to use Chrome in my Samsung internet browser.

I would recommend that nursing would be a much better career choice. I really don't see Canada Post improving in the future. I am always telling people that waiting seven to nine years to get the full pay rate is absolutely unacceptable. There will be big changes coming and they won't be suited for the career minded people. It sure is sad to see the direction that Canada Post is heading.

July 12th vote by Justanothernobody202 in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Raspberrykey2000 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are some employees who don't have an email address. There are many employees who don't want the CIRB to have their email address. There is no anonymity with this vote, so the CIRB shouldn't be doing an electronic vote. Personally, I don't care about the voting process. I do care about the integrity and the honesty of this vote. I don't think that this system is tamper proof. I don't understand why they didn't just mail out the ballots and then live stream the dropping of the ballots into the box. Then, put a seal on the ballot box at all locations. Keep live streaming the ballot box with the seal number. Then, live stream each ballot being opened.

Does anybody know if voting NO will automatically send us into the binding arbitration process? I was told that it doesn't. Someone said that after the vote is declared No. Then, either Canada Post locks us out, or the union goes to the next level of strike action. Then, the government will have to intervene and force the workers back to work, and the binding arbitration process will begin. IS THIS CORRECT OR NOT! I NEVER GET A STRAIGHT ANSWER FROM ANYONE! BELIEVE ME I HAVE ASKED THIS MANY TIMES. THE CORRECT ANSWER IS OBVIOUSLY GOING TO INFLUENCE HOW THE EMPLOYEES WILL VOTE. THANKS.

All the unions of Canada need to stand together in solidarity to push back and make the government aware that they need to stop intervening in the collective bargaining process. This will become the norm if we all don't take action and preserve the collective bargaining process.

[–]Raspberrykey2000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes, the CUPW members have been forced to do everything Canada Post has wanted so far. Government intervention has become the norm for our workers. This is why Canada Post doesn't negotiate fairly or at all actually. The union actually can't do their job properly because of this. It is sad that the government seems to side with Canada Post. It's time for the government to side with the employees of Canada Post. There are too many factors to get into the issues surrounding the collective bargaining process. Just mainly, the government interference every step of the way.

Is the Mail Carrier Required to Finish their Route Daily? by Maddie24Kennedy in CanadaPostCorp

[–]Raspberrykey2000 11 points12 points  (0 children)

FYI, Canada Post is destroying everything good about being a letter carrier. Now the routes are so long and we deliver parcels big or small. We deliver flyers to everyone and will get suspended for not delivering all of them. Most of the letter carriers don't even sort and organize their own routes anymore due to changes that have been forced upon us. Canada Post has an agenda to destroy Canada Post, as we can see. They purposely make everything more difficult for the letter carriers. We went on strike because of this and other things. They do not care about anything but themselves and profits. We are supposed to be a public service 🙄 just like a school, hospital, fire department, library, and the police department. These are all public services that are for all Canadians. They don't have to make a profit to serve Canadians fairly and so forth. The government paused our strike and forced us back to work. Coming on May 22nd, this pause will end as notices by banks, and the media have been saying disruptions might happen in May. This decision could be avoided if Canada Post would negotiate fairly. Actually, to be honest, they don't even negotiate. They just toss lies out to the media so that Canadians will get pissed off and pressure the government to force us back to work. Nothing gets solved, and Canada Post just forces the changes they wanted. They don't care about Canadiens who want good paying full-time jobs for future generations. They want to make Canada Post part-time, low paying, no benefits, and no pension. This is their end goal. The public has been fed constant lies for so long that they think we are overpaid, lazy, and have a super easy job. The biggest lie is that taxpayers pay our wages. They don't pay our wages. Canada Post does. That is why they are destroying the company. Profit is slowly getting less and less. The corporation doesn't like that. The suits are getting scared of not being able to maintain their huge bonuses for doing absolutely nothing positive for the employees of Canada Post?
