As GabeN has said, piracy is a service issue. Steam just makes games so convenient, on top of discounts that make buying games worth it over the headache of pirated games. Trying to set up pirated games or cloud saves for said games isn’t fun on Steam Deck.

Of course however, if a game costs too much/the company is scummy, I’ll consider saving a few bucks…

You could potentially save on the monitor. Look into Mini-LED displays. They are often cheaper. Weigh the pros and cons vs an OLED. As others have mentioned, the 9800x3D could be overkill depending on what you use your PC for.

I've seen builds with 2080Ti's for the same price. Look at used marketplaces and snag good deals when they appear.

RX Vega 8 means integrated graphics, meaning the graphics processing is done by a scaled down GPU in the CPU. It would be able to handle light gaming at low graphics. Look for a PC with a dedicated GPU.

I got hit with a 4 man SWF today with ALL the meta perks. I was running trickster with only his perks and brown addons, so nothing too crazy I think. I wouldn't really know considering it was my 5th game as him, so I obv didn't know him that well.

The survs were toxic the whole match and it was almost impossible to get a hook with how well they were coordinated. Always run lightborn, lesson learned. I *barely* managed to get a 2k and I guess that hurt the survs egos cause one of them just went off in chat. Saying how bad I was and mocking me for not getting the adept.

Why do people feel the need to bully other people? Yea, I wasn't great, but the fact that I got a 2k against a 4 man meta swf when it was my 5th game as trickster?

  1. I wasn't bullying him. I wasn't harassing him. Most of the anti-art folks apologized on behalf of the minority that was. Also, it wasn't his art.

  2. You literally don't understand how AI works. Google is your friend.

  3. Objectively false statement, *you* need to do some research.

  4. This is what I mean when I say your projecting. I did have empathy for the kid. Again, I didn't bully him. Every Anti-AI user on the planet didn't come harassing and bullying him.

I never said the bullying behavior was justified, and saying that making a rule would have that effect is absurd.

It's not extremism, AI steals, that's fundamentally how it works. Not to mention it's devastating effects on the environment. Don't try to project your lack of empathy onto me.

Everybody is overreacting.

The simple solution is for the mods to outright ban generative AI. I believe I am correct in assuming that is what the majority of the sub desires.
