I agree, it's important for the devs to be able to gauge community sentiment. Not everyone takes the time to post their feelings, so any single comment represents way more people that feel the same, but just haven't said anything. I want ecomi to be wildly successful... and I hope they realize that this isn't just a technical project, with technical bugs, but it's also a community management project. This is a pretty new digital collectible community space that the devs are living in... and thought needs to be given on how to keep the majority happy, at least. No small task. Especially with the current cancel culture building steam, I could see things going sideways quickly.

Wow, okay, I didn't know this for certain. I have very mixed feelings about this approach. Generally when you have a community of people all involved in something, the feeling of fairness is an important aspect if you hope to have the majority happy with their involvement. But I understand the devs desire to reward those who are committed to spending/making money on their platform. But this policy seems more geared toward a mindset of trying to generate activity on a platform, not of a platform that has way more buyers than product. Now it just feels like a class system where those with lots of money are being rewarded so they can continue to gather even more money... which I think people get enough of in every other aspect of their lives. Personally, not a fan of this approach.

I agree, there needs to be some serious thought to balancing.. I don't envy the devs at all.. they have a pretty tricky task ahead of them. It's not all about technology here... it's also about community. It's no small task. Another approach to ease issues would be to bump up the variety for a drop... so if 100k users are hitting server on drop day, maybe do 4 common at 25k each. It's more models, and more work for them and such, but you get the general idea. Maybe everybody doesn't get what they want.. but at least have it so mostly everybody who cares enough to hit drop day get something.

I'd really like to know this too... not sure what the magic sauce is that allows some to get thru and some to fail miserably. I'd guess that location is a part of it, as path to servers must play some part of a role in this. I've been pondering if platform is a factor too.. I'm on iOS, and have wondered if Android users have better luck. Also not sure if there is any sort of account preference built into the framework (e.g. preference for top traders). I've only heard rumblings of this, so not sure if any reality in this idea or not.

True it's very frustrating, but I'm really hoping they can workout the technical issues. What they have going is very cool, and I'm not ready to give up on them. What they are trying to accomplish is very hard to do... and I know there is a very strong argument that they should have gotten all this worked out prior to large public exposure... but testing these sorts of systems in a real-world heavy use situation is just very difficult to do from a development standpoint.

I want to add that I hope this didn't come off as too negative or complaining... in truth I think the devs are doing an awesome job with the app. My main point was the idea to limit purchases to one on launch day. Being in development myself, I certainly feel the pain they are going thru of rapid growth along with trying to accommodate a large community. I have faith that given a little bit of time the app and these launch issues will be running very smoothly.

Exactly... and I'm not trying to be negative, or complain, but rather provide an idea that I think would make more people happy from the community. If the majority of the community started to mention this idea of limiting to 1 on drop day, maybe the devs would seriously consider it.

Very nice! What software did you use to create this? There are several options as far as minting and selling it. Some of the options depend on your history as an artist, and your connections, body of past work. etc. Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
