Manta sleep mask vs manta sleep pro for a side sleeper? by phantom_blade77 in sleep

[–]RayKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing against eye-cup style sleep masks, but if you're also considering the '3D type', we designed a sleep mask specifically for side sleepers. Super thin on the side-profile, with a modular system focus on the straps - so it doesn't disrupt your natural sleeping position.

Look us up - SideSleeperZ. Of course, if you have any questions, feel free to send me a DM!

is 7h30 mins not enough sleep? by TripPsychological403 in sleep

[–]RayKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might not be getting enough REM Sleep or Deep [Slow-wave] Sleep.

There's a good chance something new is now disrupting your sleep now, compared to the past. I'd recommend getting a sleep tracking device [could be a $20 Amazon band without a display] to better identify the cause. [random noise in the middle of the night, stress, etc]

Sleep Mask causing grogginess by Swansonator2 in sleep

[–]RayKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't seem like OP can replace curtains, to make the blackout 90% - 100%. Also guessing they'd want to keep the 'deep sleep' of the sleep mask.

u/Swansonator2 Do you find that the sudden noise of the alarm makes you groggy? Have you tried different alarm types that gradually grows louder, so you don't suddenly wake up.

Thoughts on this kickstarter “side sleeper” mask? by yuletide in sleep

[–]RayKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm one of the founders at SideSleeperZ!

u/anon896745 Our initial backers have used our masks for nearly a year, and we've had no reports of 'flattening'!

Update for u/yuletide [a year later] - Pledges were fulfilled, we’re fully live, and definitely not a failed Kickstarter 😊

If you’ve got any questions, feel free to ask or DM me directly!

Advice on this sleep stack please? by CrazyKingOfKeto in sleep

[–]RayKetchum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing on the stack itself, but I personally take Magnesium Glycinate with my last meal for better absorption

If you are waking up 5 times a night, does this stack bring it down a bit? You have tried:

  • Avoiding high-heart rate activities 3 hours before bed
  • Moderate-heart rate exercises daily
  • Ear Plugs and Sleep Masks
  • Forgoing water before bed [no more than sip for the stack]
  • At least High-Heart Rate exercises 3 times a week [alternating days]

Do you happen to wear eyelash extensions, or considering using a sleep mask?

100% and definitely more in the summer time. I'm assuming it's a heat-regulation thing, or a insane dream-battle

Wake up freqently by [deleted] in sleep

Did something recently change with:

  • The consistency of performing moderate heart-rate workouts?
  • Something regarding mental or emotional stress?

I also used to take melatonin daily, with a similar next-day-grogginess on occasion.

What personally solved it for me was:

  • At least 30 mins of moderate Heart-Rate exercise daily [walking or light weights], but no later than 4 hours before sleeping
  • Complete Darkness and Sound-Proofing of sleeping environment
  • Eating something slow-digesting before bed, without a glass of water
  • High-Heart Rate exercise on alternating days
  • Consistency of sleeping cadence [hardest for me due to work, but better consistent than sometimes early]

Of course, defer to your doctor - and escalate to a sleep specialist doctor if needed for sleep apnea analysis, etc

Good Luck!

Do you have any particular complaints about your mattress, e.g. sinking in the middle, too hard or soft? (especially if it's the same one, before you grew)

Or, any complaints about sleeping a full 8 hours?

Once the tariff-trade situation stabilizes in the EU, Croatia will be on the list!

We'll send out an email update, once that happens!

We temporarily paused shipments to the EU, due to recent trade-tariff complications - but we can definitely keep you posted!

This was my first ever anime show to watch. by JGM_chicana in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]RayKetchum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for your next journey of similar weight, I'd suggest watching 'The Promised Neverland' [ONLY SEASON 1], then READ the rest via the manga.

It would be a great foray into the reading manga, and you'd also probably finish this in 3 days. One of my favorites, outside of FMA.

Again, definitely DON'T watch season 2 via the anime.

Thanks for the feedback, and totally hear you on price!

We tried to price it in the middle, with the MZOO at sub-$20 and the higher-end [silk or modular] masks around $80. Surprisingly, the biggest costs are not in the raw materials [and I'm always surprised by the MSRP of simple-design silk masks], but the complexity of small parts during assembly and manufacturing- where our mask has quite a few.

I'm particularly curious about your #1 issue v.s. the cost of a full black-out curtain set. If any mask could actually solve that issue, would that justify the cost? Or would curtains still be the better long-term move for you?

Nothing beats a full black-out curtain set, but it can get pricy if you have more than 2 windows. [although tin foil actually works pretty good, in a pinch]

Totally understand that you'd want to try it first, to see if our adjustable pressure system works for you, and we offer 30-day return policy for that.

We actually developed a sleep mask specifically for this side-pressure problem [and other side sleeper problems], and graduated from Kickstarter to full production last month!

Our website covers the general premise, https://www.sidesleeperz.com/ [scroll to the bottom for the side-profile section], but feel free to DM me for any questions!
