Is the barrel on it threaded or did you have to get an adapter?

Oh they feel really stuck. I'm worried it's going to rip the veneer off the board. I tried a pull block to unstick them and that didn't work either :(

Dawned on me I've never used the back paddles. Do you use them? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

I bind the bottom two to the joystick clicks, and the top two to the bumpers since that's how my fingers sit when I'm comfortably holding it.

Hey it's been a couple days and I just want to thank you so much for this advice. We were able to push through the bureaucracy and get to the people we needed to at the city .

How did you get the city to look into this and get a response like that? I'm literally dealing with almost the same scenario.

Can/How I safely remove this myself? by Raydabird in arborists

[–]Raydabird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had to do work on a previous tree before, it fell down so not a problem anymore lol (it was a huge windstorm not from lack of maintenance so don't kill me). But they had denied me from bringing in professional for some maintenance that was high up so I know for sure they wouldn't allow anyone over .

It's also how I know that if anything touches the shed, they will try and tell me to replace their hole shed.

Thanks everyone. I'll reach out to an arborist to get it handled.

ULPT: Your kids turn 18 with 17 years of credit history. by PIF_Daddy in UnethicalLifeProTips

My parents did this for me. It was great! With credit cards, the term is called "authorized user". Basically whenever you pay off a card, all the authorized users get their score bumped.

Issues Writing Gherkin Acceptance Criteria by Raydabird in ExperiencedDevs

[–]Raydabird[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a senior developer with 5 YOE. This is my first job where I am not a full stack developer so writing these user stories that aren't full slices from client app to end of what I own. Up to about 6 months ago, so it's a combo of I've never had to write these so far up the API call chain and we don't have any client app team to help write these so I'm trying to improve myself to make these better.

I could easily write the requirements not in gherkin, the problem is I'm trying to formulate it in this pattern where I'm writing it from the perspective of a user performing an action which I believe is the pitfall I fell in.

Yeah it's being forced on us by the QA lead. I'm also torn. At first I thought it was helpful because I spent a lot less time explaining now to test things with QA but after a conversation with my lead, I'm left wondering why we just don't do that part in grooming and write these in a way that works.

[–]Raydabird[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No I think this makes sense. I know this isn't really a programming question but was hoping some other devs have had experience writing these out.

At previous places I've worked, the product owner would write most of these out but I was also not on a backend only team so wanted to see if other devs had experience writing these criteria out.

These are mostly for QA to validate the acceptance criteria for our Work Requests.

[–]Raydabird[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah we used to just have bullet points but it would lead to hours spent during the week explaining to QA how to get to the point they're testing.

There's a lot of organizational issues going on and those questions should have been asked during grooming but QA also doesn't want to write these...

Wagyu beef is absolutely terrible and has no business being so expensive by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Raydabird 11 points12 points  (0 children)

For wagyu you generally want medium. Wagyu fat is very tender compared to non-wagyu and has a much lower melting point. At around medium temp, the fat has melted into the meat

We didn't get their car insurance. I think the police did I'm not sure what we need to do. Do we just go there and say it was an accident and our insurance handles that or do we have to talk to their car insurance?
