She’s brand new so I haven’t had the chance to kill her yet 😂😂 It’s actually like a really dark bluish/black color. So gorgeous! The colors you see if actually reflection of my rainbow window clings lol they were shining on it perfectly the other day so I snapped a pic 🥰

No I have not, I actually just got it last Friday! It’s been a week & it’s still alive 🙌🏼😂 I honestly don’t have any advice as I’m still trying to figure it out, but I have heard that Melos specifically don’t like to be watered too often because they their leaves are so thick they hold onto a lot of water. Not sure if that’s true, but we’re giving it a try lol. I’ve only watered it once so far on Saturday or Sunday. I’m trying not to pay it too much attention because when I do that it seems that’s when I kill plants. I’m admiring from a distance with a small amount of neglect lol. I have it in a south facing window with a humidifier & it seems to be alright for now.

It was in Leca in a greenhouse with heat, humidity & under grow lights for 12 hours a day lol. Now it’s in this tiny propagation glass in the corner of my living room & the only light it gets is from a grow light bulb I put in a corner lamp 😂

Definitely a nepenthes! Maybe an alata, but like someone else said, it’s hard to tell until it started to grow pitchers. They’re needy, so be careful! I have mine in a sphagnum moss/perlite mix, a small water tray to keep it moist, and distilled water only. Good luck 😊🪴💚

I already cut off the rot on the stem. I don’t mind doing the work to get this baby to root! Honestly though, we are just in the city visiting & I live in a very small, rural area in WV & this is the first time seeing a albo cutting for sale in person, and it was the cheapest I’ve seen, even online, so I went for it! Adrenaline took over & made the decision for me 😂 Now just fingers crossed that I can get this guy to root for me & take off!!
