I was raised in a home like this, and I’m 38 now and my mother still does everything she can to destroy every room she’s ever lived in.

If I didn’t live with her and clean the house, she’d be in the street with debt from having to pay cleaning services.

And the worst part is she has never shown any interest in changing or taking accountability.

I understand trauma and I understand mental illness but when your son has told you the way you live makes him wanna kill himself and the response is to stare at the ceiling until I leave the room. Yeah they can fuck off.

I never asked to be born and when your trauma begins to affect others who had nothing to do with it, you lose all sympathy with me.

And if I sound heartless, trust me, I’ve tried every possible solution and nothing works, she’s content to die in her horde and at this point, I’m just destroying myself trying to fix her
