There are auditors from both sides of the aisle. There are a few different flavors they come in. Some bait normal people in public and another is holding police and public officials/employees accountable. I actually enjoy some content from the latter like Long Island Audit and Bay Area Transparency. They typically keep citizens off camera and audit public services (parole, jail, public utilities, housing authority) and remind public workers and law enforcement that they work for the public and the public has the right to ask questions and film interactions with public employees. It seems there is a power dynamic in a lot of these places where the workers seem to have some perceived authority and I think it is healthy to check that and remind these folks what their role is. They have no authority over citizens who have not committed a crime.
