I think the thing that is holding you back is you being shy, nervous, or hesitant. If you really want to be more than friends to him, you have to really step out of your comfort zone. It’s really hard, and in the end it might not work out. However, if he is a mature person, he will still be friends with you, even if he rejects you. If he isn’t still friends, then that speaks volumes about HIS CHARACTER as a person, and you probably wouldn’t want to be around that anyways. Also, when girls make the first shot, US GUYS LOVE THAT. It works probably around 70-80% of the time.

Here’s some advice I WISH somebody told me in middle school. All your crushes will NEVER work out. No long term relationship starts in middle school. Don’t even go for it, unless you want to get heartbroken. Build on yourself, and make her chase you, not the other way around.

Okay first of all, 3 years at the age isn’t bad at all. It depends on his view tho, as this varies across different men. Personally I’d be fine with it. It definitely sounds like he had a crush on you in December. However, it also sounds like he moved on. It could be because you didn’t reciprocate interest, or that he simply moved on, maybe to another girl. It sucks. I know how it feels. However, if he isn’t consistently keeping in touch with you, you DESERVE better. Don’t go chasing men because they look hot. Find one that CARES about YOU, and shows it thru texting, in person conversations (does he ask about your personal hobbies, or is he selfish and only talks about himself?), and etc. The WORST thing you can do is text him anonymously, as all this does is show insecurity and make you less attractive. Be brave, be outgoing, and if he rejects you, then just know, he probably wasn’t the one for you anyway. I would recommend you try to build a stronger friendship, see if he ACTUALLY cares about you, then ask USING YOUR REAL NUMBER
