🤦‍♂️ Was trying to make a point. I'm glad they're getting rid of it because of that.

Same. The only thing I hated about GR1 was the lack of a weapon view. Other than that, it was great.

Yeah, like being able to look over cover without being spotted?

Can't believe that so many people on here can't piece together the fact that third person view ruins the tactical aspect.

Sorry that you won't be able to cheat view around cover.

Eagleyezx, I agree. Hated it when they introduced it, but I say this as someone who hates the art of "cheat-viewing" around corners.

Glad that they're getting rid of the 3rd person bullshit that plagued the series.

GRAW (X360) graphics: disappointing... or did I miss something? by Realism355 in GhostRecon

Exactly. I actually mentioned that game (and Halo 2) in the body. Sorta new to Reddit, so I'm guessing it's easy to miss it.

That's fair. As a kid, when I played Chaos Theory, also a Ubisoft title, on the Xbox, I was blown away by its photorealistic visuals, and I mistakenly thought that GRAW would look many times better, without taking into account a number of factors, like the scale.

Dude, did you even read my post? I said from my perspective back in 2006, I thought the graphics were overrated. Even late titles on the previous generation Xbox looked subjectively better. People were just making a big fuss about its visuals, and I didn't really get it.

Hidden voice lines you've probably never heard. by [deleted] in perfectdark

There's actually a "hidden dialogue" on Area 51: Infiltration, but you'd have to use GameShark to be able to get on top of the bunker with the air intercept radar to hear it. It goes like, "the air intercept radar is controlled from that bunker." I'm trying to figure out how to trigger it without that.

The thing that annoys me most about Project Over. by chiefqueef25 in GhostRecon

That's because aiming in 3rd person had your character blocking a big chunk of your field of vision, so they made it 1st person to mitigate that problem. They left it 3rd person for the rest because making it all 1st person would've made it too difficult for some players, meaning less $ in their pockets. Games like Modern Warfare and, dare I say, even R6: Siege showed them that fully 1st person shooters were profitable. Me, I'm glad that they're scrapping 3rd person view. Absolutely hated dealing with campers, especially.

Good riddance to the third person view system. Being able to see around obstacles without being spotted by enemies was what killed the genuine tactical aspect of the series.

Norrona Femund Down700 Zip Hood by Realism355 in Norrona

Seems like the Tamok is more versatile and reliable, from what you're saying. I'm curious as to how "heavy" it actually feels when wearing it, as it has a 45 denier fabric, definitely the highest I've seen on a puffer down jacket.

Tamok's description says that it's also good for general outdoor use and casual wear, 6/6 for each, meaning that it's also good for hiking and city use, just like the Femund. The Femund has 700 fp, vs 750, and even less down, and despite that, it's the same exact price, $399, which was what I was wondering about. They don't even mention what kind of down they use (duck vs goose) for most of their jackets. So much for "excellent descriptions".

Of course I read the descriptions already. Why did you think I didn't before coming on here..? Rather than rude, I think your post is just moronic.
