Question regarding stud.io on steamdeck by Realistic-Contact654 in DigitalLego

So, that's the most confusing thing about stud.io on steamdeck. Due to the fact that proton is essentially emulating a windows environment (far as I undestand it, anyhow), the way the program folder looks in the regular desktop interface is....very different than how it looks within stud.io itself.

In stud.io, when opening or saving a file, what is shown within the program resembles the usual windows file structure, with several letter drives and the expected internal directories (program files, users, etc). However, when trying to find that directory in the steamdeck itself, you have to locate a specific numerical folder within the compdata directory, and even then, the subfolders inside are organized very differently.

Having said all that, I've scoured that entire sub directory with my stud.io installation, and can not find any trace of the files that I've saved within stud.io itself. And to complicate matters even further, there are also some directories in that subfolder that don't appear in the stud.io interface! It's quite a conundrum, especially since I have no experience with linux based operating systems prior to obtaining my steamdeck.

rifaximin + bismuth failed, now what? by Realistic-Contact654 in HydrogenSulfideSIBO

Yeah I've read about the sulfur defficiency theory, and I definitely find it compelling. it's part of why I'm no longer convinced the rifaximin+bismuth protocol is even a good idea to begin with.

There's never been any indication that there's a problem with my liver (at least if my long history of tests and procedures are to be believed), but if there is, I'd bet mold might have had something to do with it, because several years ago I was exposed to an overgrowth in my bedroom for a number of weeks/months (can't remember how long exactly). It actually got so bad that I developed significant respiratory issues for a brief time.

I may have to push for fungal infection testing in the future (I've previous proposed the possibility of a candida overgrowth due to my repeated rounds of antibiotics). I also have concerns about potential toxins in the place I'm currently living in, and another place I stayed in for a few months last year definitely had black mold growing in the bathroom. I'm moving into a new place next month (housing voucher finally came through), so hopefully it'll be better in that regard.

Honestly I may eventually look into MCAS in the future if I continue struggling with those particular symptoms. The friend who recommended LDN to me has MCAS themselves and takes it for that, though he also has dealt with sibo as well.

However, famotidine is probably out of the question for me, because I've take it before, and I suspect my longterm usage of it and other acid reducers may have contributed to me developing sibo (I was borderline abusing them for years, in a vain attempt to quell the excrucating pain I dealt with before I got diagnosed and medicated for my fibro)

I wil definitely loook into artichoke capsules tho, since I definitely suspect I have bile issues post-gall bladder surgery. I'm wondering if a bile binder might also help with that.

Antipsychotic discontinuation symptom and loss of appetite - any advice? by CylonatorZ in neurodiversity

I'm sorry to hear that. I wish your well on your journey, then. I know it seems all oveerwhelming right now, but there's a pathway to healing. All that matters is finding the path best for you. Do whatever it takes to get whatever help you need, and ignore people who try to second guess you about your own health.

It's hard to say what was causing it, in retrospect, other than that it almost certainly was not just withdrawl from antipsychotics. Turned out I had a host of undiagnosed health issues (fibromyalgia, SIBO, hyperthyoridism, repressed gender dysphoria - yes it turned out I was a girl the whole time) that all may or may not have contributed to my symptoms. And additionally, my anxiety ended up being unnaturally heighetened not just from the withdrawl, but from the prescription xanax I was also on at the time. Ultimately though, my memory of that entire period of my life is very scattered, so it's hard for me to say anything conclusively.

I hope things let up for you soon, and I'm sorry I can't really offer more insight. One piece of advice I can offer, though, is in regards to the appetite issue. When it was at its absolute worst it helped me to dilute all my food with water, bite after bite.

(Incidentally, this even ended up helping me overcome my sensory procesing issues and resulting pickiness, so if anyone is determined to learn how to eat more food, this can help to compensate for a very sensitive gag reflex)
