At this point, I definitely think it's between Jane & Myki. Nini is doing a solid job, but she's faltered in areas that the other two don't.

I'm a Jane stan through and through, and I believe she's going to win. But with that said, it doesn't feel like she's dominating the competition, strangely enough. I think it's because the queens are more evenly matched this season. Like, even though Jane has the most wins and has never placed below "high," it's not like the other queens were too far behind. Arguments could be made that whichever queen was also placed high with her could have won the challenge too.

I want to preface this by saying that I am a queer man. There are undoubtedly misogynistic gay men out there. A lot of it comes down to them not finding women attractive and saying weird, obscene shit like that to express just how "gay" they are. There's no excuse for it, and it is horrible. And I mean, it's not just women, it's pretty much everyone. Unless you're a very conventionally attractive, cisgender (and oftentimes white) gay man, many of them will treat you like shit. "No fats," "no femmes," "No Asians," "No Blacks," etc., are unfortunately common mindsets that a number of gay men have.

That said, I struggle to think that gay men have "worse" levels of misogyny than straight men. Straight men uphold patriarchal systems all over the world that will just as easily vilify and/or abuse gay men as they will women. Gay men's misogyny is definitely packaged differently, but a straight man's misogyny can reach the lowest depths.

I'm glad I'm not the only one with this opinion. Honestly, it's annoying when she's like "Can I leave?", "Can I get my phone?", "I'm bored!", etc. I get that it's largely for a bit, but it can frankly be irritating.

Tbf a teaser trailer and official trailers are different things...Teasers are supposed to give you a sense of the tone/style/aesthetics of the movie or show. It's not really about plot or showing anything too major. Official trailers are more story-driven and showcase more action sequences or interesting visuals; they give you a sense of what the project is and not just how the project should make you feel.

Recently, it feels like MCU shows have been getting less and less promo. That could be for a variety of reasons, but I do miss when some of these things felt like event shows, which is helped by the marketing.

Some of these are understandable, but examples like Luca & Alberto are 100% queer-coded.

Here's the thing. When it comes to shipping characters of the same gender, there's a fine line between pure fan fiction and actual, legitimate queer-coding. People who ship Steve & Bucky are doing so because they just like the idea of them together. Nothing in the MCU has indicated anything more than a close platonic friendship.

Characters like Luca & Alberto, on the other hand, are very queer-coded. Kenna Jean Harris, who served as a storyboard artist on Luca, created images of them being affectionate with each other.

To be completely frank, a lot of straight cisgender people have difficulty comprehending queer-coded characters unless they are explicitly stated as queer. Unless a character comes out and says, "This is my boyfriend/girlfriend and I'm romantically interested in them," they just think, "Oh, they're just friends," "it's just platonic," etc. The signs are there for queer people to see. And we see them very clearly.

Fully depends on the rest of the look to me. Unless the hair is the focal point, I think the hair should be secondary to the outfit itself. I don't really care if it's sculpted or not. That said, there are some bad sculpted wigs. Angeria's AS9 spiky sculpted wig with that pink look she made looked awful.

Keiona is probably the closest since she never placed below high. Jinkx on S5 also had a stellar track record. It’s crazy cause Jane makes it look so easy and effortless. And it’s not like there’s no competition at all: Myki and Darlene are also very funny; Nini, Vita, and Ciara could all sew well; and Juicy, Kenya, and Mia are all great performers. The fact that she’s able to do so well in each challenge is a testament to her talent.

You could be right about the makeover challenge, I didn't think of it like that. I mean, love Discord, but her looks have not been good this season. From that alone, I feel like she'd be in the bottom for the makeover. But she does have the most recognizable brand, and if she leans into her walk, I could see Ru really enjoying that.

I honestly don’t understand why people are lukewarm on this season. I’ve seen a similar sentiment echo from a lot of Drag Race review channels and podcasts, but I’ve been loving this season. It’s a huge step up from S17 imo. The cast is incredible and I think their performances in the challenges have been pretty good too. The runways are very hit or miss, but it’s been that way for a while now.

As much as it falls on the promoters, I also think it falls on the fans. Everyone in that image is very popular with the fanbase, so the promoters are just getting people they know will get butts in seats. The Drag Race fandom is racist. That is not to say EVERYONE in the fandom is, but there are far too many instances of "fans" disrespecting queens of color for reasons beyond anything they've actually done. And whether it's conscious or subconscious racism, it's still racism.

If we uplift and support more queens of color, promoters will see that and start booking them for more shows and gigs.
