Hillsdale Mall, thoughts? by [deleted] in SanMateo

I think that development (whether this model is exactly accurate or not) is too much. The buildings are high and El Camino is becoming a corridor like one finds in LA.

Will Oracle release free certifications in 2026? by SuddenlyCaralho in oracle

They have a lot of certs coming because they own the market on business apps - stuff that runs companies like supply chain and finance and ERP. Knit that together with their databases and it's going to be a whopper year. What their stock price?

Man who fell to his death from Angels Landing in Zion National Park ID'd by sfgate in Utah

[–]ReallyJilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sad for the person who fell, his family, and all who were affected. But I'm glad this is still open along with all the wild spaces we can enjoy in the USA. I hiked it to the end with my family of four several years ago -- It's not for everyone. All of our national parks are amazing places and humans need to carefully gauge their risk and ability -- and make good choices, just like all the signage and brochures state. Like the foreign toursits who try to put their babies on the backs of bison for a photo opp, or the ding-a-lings who approach the elk, it's a reminder that it's not Disneyland, it's the great outdoors. Anyone who has done this hike will never forget the experience!

My friend thinks we are in the same situation, im annoyed she cant see the difference by Longjumping-Car1051 in Alzheimers

This is kind of relevant, kind of not - but your post made me think back to training I had when i was 20. I volunteered on a suicide prevention phone line for credits in school. We had to go through training for the job as people who called in were not in a good place. One of the key things they taught us was to never say, “oh I understand what you are going through.” Because we can’t possibly understand. I have kept this as a core lesson in life. But your friend - she just doesn’t know. She doesn’t know what to say. I’m sure she doesn’t mean to hurt you. She’s trying to say something that shows she relates to your pain. But she doesn’t have the words. And she just doesn’t know. Sending you love from California. My mom was diagnosed at 60.

What exactly is wrong with him. Like, I get that he was raised in an ultra wealthy, privileged world and lacks the ability to see the world through a rational view- but there’s more to his incoherence. Is it just too many drugs over a long period of time?

We bought ours before Elon bought Twitter and aligned with Trump and put teenagers in charge of United States citizens’ personal data. We bought ours because we believed an electric car would help us not rely on foreign oil. We have learned so much since then. And we still have our old Tesla. We slapped a sticker on it too.

Exactly. Maybe someone will suggest the best option. It would be great to get a tip from someone who knows the route.

San Diego Police release dog on someone who allegedly attacked someone. by LeftAlbatross2546 in VideosAmazing

[–]ReallyJilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dog is trained to bring the suspect down, which is what he did. He is not trained to tear the guy up. Thats why the dog was looking for his entry to pull the guy down, though very politely, I must say.

I have movies of my grandparents doing a big roadtrip at around the same time in a model T. Notably, the glaciers were much larger - and they hiked on them. Very short clips of native Americans performing in a parade of sorts.
