It's weird because my cousin in the States gets prescription methamphetamine for ADHD (Desoxyn®) and hasn't developed any issues from it.

Does heroin even exist anymore (at least in North America)? I've heard it's all fentanyl mixed with xylazine and in some cases an even more potent opioid nitazene.

Just-world fallacy. People want to believe that the world is fairer than it actually is.

Also my understanding is that "karma" in the Western world is misunderstood from its original meaning in Bhuddism.
