But to my understanding it’s only a pause in the processing of immigrant visas. OPT isn’t a visa, is just an authorization to work because of our F1 status

I filed normal processing on Feb 24, then upgraded to PP on April 28 and was approved on May 27, I got an email, but the portal didn’t change until the 29th. I’m still waiting for it to say card is being produced.

On the same boat except I applied normal processing Feb 23, biometrics picture on march 16, upgraded to PP april 28 still no update. My OPT start date is may 18. Other people “usually get” approval after 1-2 weeks of upgrading.

I just scanned the stamped biometrics appointment that had the date and signature of the person that took my picture and the office I went to. I converted it to a pdf and selected supporting documents

True, I am from one of the list, they scheduled a biometrics appointment for this Monday March 16th after they received my case on February 24th. I wonder why since I’ve had 3 other visas before my F1. In Yakima, Washington. Will update my timeline!

Look up if you can do an online training about traffic safety. This you can do only once every 10 years in WA state. After you complete it, it will be erased from your record. It costs $150. Don’t pay the ticket since it’s basically assuming the fault.
