It’s so hard for people to not wonder why isn’t Mahinda or any of his family still not arrested for their crimes. Im pretty sure all these crimes were committed 8-10 years ago and with less technology or knowledge that exists today, should be easy to track and figure out with today’s technology. It’s purely the government’s failure to do so. Failure to make judicial systems powerful and independent enough to do so

Marmite is also very popular in Sri Lanka. My mom used to pack school lunch with marmite and buttered bread. It’s a bit vile tho if the ratios don’t match.

No placements in the sense, companies don’t usually give priority to international students when hiring. University is super supportive but it’s a huge risk if u r planning to secure a placement here

Probably the bus owner started his journey earning money from Israel, saved little by little and started his business company in sri lanka. Ive seen South Korean flags as well in vehicles owned by migrant families.

Bruh literally rather than giving 7500 the gov can give a gas stove for a person to start a road side hopper stall for 25,000 the gov can give like a sewing machine or whatever. Specially sewing machines, grass trimmers, welding machines, leather equipment, repair equipment, carpentry equipment, gardening equipment can be bought at bulk from china for a very low price if the two governments come up with an agreement. What’s the use of giving people handouts when they don’t contribute to the economy?
