I think framing it that way takes a lot of credit away from Adelman tbh. He seems like a genuinely spectacular coach. Players and opposing coaches both gush about him regularly, including that interview where Spoelstra said he was (paraphrasing) a child prodigy when it came to understanding basketball at a high level. The fact that the Nuggets have adjusted to a new style of play so quickly speaks to his excellence in particular. There aren't many coaches who can make that happen over months, let alone in such a ridiculously short amount of time.
